2006 Saturn Vue Logo

I've got a 2006 Saturn Vue that keeps getting water in the front, under the floor mats. It appears to be coming from the center underneath and behind the instrument cluster/center console. Could this be from sunroof drains or does it sound like a windshield problem. Where do I find the ends of the sunroof drains? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the info on the sunroof drains. I'll check that out. As for the A/C, I rarely it, maybe couple times per summer. I should have been more specific, the water only collects on the floor boards after a good amount of rain, full day or more, and I haven't found any moist/wet areas on seats, dash, doors or anywhere other that on the floor boards. That's kind of why I'm suspecting it to be the windshield, but wanted to make sure before I had it reset, resealed.

The most common source of water on the floor is a plugged a/c evaporator case drain hose. This drain is generally located down low on the engine side of the firewall at the passenger side and is usually a small short open ended hose that points down. Debris and bugs will clog this hose which makes the water that condenses on the evaporator [whenever the a/c is on] overflow and leak out of the heater/air conditioning housing and onto the floor. If it hasn't rained for some time yet you are still getting water on the floor I would bet on this hose being plugged. A puff of compressed air is enough to clean most of them out. Most sunroofs have one or two small drain holes that allow water to run down through the door pillars and onto the ground. If you pour a small amount of water around the top edges of the sunroof when it is closed you should soon see water dripping onto the ground under the outer edge of the vehicle. A few sunroofs just rely on tight weather stripping to keep the water out but those usually drip water on the driver or passenger if they are leaking. I see a lot of leaky windshields but again, it has to be raining for water to get on the floor from them.

Try the solution at this link. It includes steps and pictures to guide you. I had this problem with an 06 Vue. The right way to unclog the sunroof drains Saturn Spot Good luck, it took the dealership 4 or 5 tries to get it right. Fortunately it was under warranty and there were still Saturn dealerships at the time.

I would have suggested the car wash so now you need to check the weather strip/seals on your windows and doors. Wet spots close to the center console or outer edge could even be a leak of some sorts coming through the a/c ductwork. Get a good light, waterhose/water over top of your vehicle to simulate situation and plenty of patience and tools to remove paneling to access ducts from kick panel area if door/window provide no source of your leak. Hope this gives you a good point to start looking from. Anymore questions let me know

2006 Saturn Vue oil dripping under engine area

Clean the engine of all oil if it is too dirty to tell where the leak is coming from. Next get under the car and find the source. You can't fix it if you don't know where the problem is.

I have taken my 2006 VUE 3 times to the dealer and they can't find a problem. The VUE's engine surges when coming to a stop (not all the time). I need to practically stand on the brake to make it stop,...

Check to make sure the floor mat has not or is not binding up by the gas peddle causing the gas peddle to stick which is making the engine surge when you try to stop. It's a common thing to happen from time to time, the other thing to is a frayed accelerator cable which is causing it to bind. Double check the floor mat and the accelerator cable. Good luck and keep me posted, be safe.

1999 Dodge Durango....it has started leaking under driver mat?

I have water coming from under the dashboard as well when the A/c is running. My fathernlaw is a mechanic and he thinks the drain for thea/c is plugged underneath. He says you must have the vehicle on the hoist and get it from underneath. I am having other issues with my Dodge caravan, and is been in the shop, so I have not had a chance to get under and look at it and try to fix it

Water on Drivers side Saturn SC2

Is it antifreeeze from heater core or heater core hose leak?  Is the leak pure water, or maybe something else?
Put it in the garage again overnight with an old white towel in the drivers foot well, best if you can find a way to stretch it from drivers seat forwar to firewall and keep it off of floor mat.  Check it before you go to bed,  then in the morning if no leak found yet.  see if the color/location of the spot helps you identify the source.  I think the heater core is under the dash center.  Anti freeze is green/yellow or orange.
good luck
