I need one of the clutch arms on Omega 1000 juice extractor replaced. I live in South Africa (Johannesburg) and so far could not find an agent. It broke off from side. The machine has been standing broken for 4 years now. Good machine, such a pity!

Make sure it is assembled correctly and the latch arms snap shut completely without any undue force. Also on the bottom of the juicer there should be a reset button that might have tripped, just push it in. Other wise give Omega a call.
It's a real pain and even bigger pain to snap the new one in place. Best way to do it is remove the 4 screws, not the center one, and separate the base. You will then have access to the latch arm from within, but remember how everything goes back together again.
Omega can walk you through it, but have a file handy because the new latch arms are not a perfect fit for the older juicers. You might want to remove the 4 screws on the bottom to separate the base for better access. If you have a little mechanical ability it can be done, if not it could get tense.
wait if you have the old 1000 the new latch arm will not fit i tried it but if you the new 1000 go to omegajuicersdirect.com and find parts and email paula for info
First thing to do is call Omega and order a pair at 1 800 633 3461 and also ask them for tips on how to remove and install the arm. If your juicer is older the new arms may not be an exact fit, and you will have to do a little filing and improvising to install them. Its helpful to remove the 4 screws on the bottom to separate the base for better access and view of the situation.
There are no instructions. Call Omega 1 800 633 33461 for advice. Also new arms on an older juicer may not be an exact fit so you might have to do a little filing down on the arm to get it to fit. You can remove the 4 screws on the bottom to separate the base and get a clearer picture of what you have to do. Basically you have to pry the base of the arm away and push up to remove it. If you're not handy you may need some help cause it gets tricky.
IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE LATCH ARM, YOU CAN BUY THEM FROM OMEGA AT 717 561 1105. TRICKY TO REPLACE. I REMOVED THE BOTTOM OF THE MACHINE AND GAINED ACCESS THAT WAY. ONCE YOU SEE THE LATCH ARM SUPPORT PRY IT AWAY FROM THE JUICER AND SLIDE IT OUT. CALL OMEGA THERE ARE 2 WAYS TO REPLACE THE LATCH.
