GE Small Appliances/Housewares
GE sold the Housewares Division to Black and Decker in 1984. Black and Decker subsequently sold its Housewares business to Windmere-Durable Holdings Inc. in 1998. Our initial small household appliances are now considered obsolete and literature and parts are therefore considered no longer available.
You may want to refer to your local yellow pages for an independent small appliance servicer in your area who may be able to help you.
In 2000, GE housewares products became available through Wal-Mart. For repair or parts, you may call 877-207-0923 (for US) 877-556-0973 (for Canada) or you may return your product to your local Wal-Mart.

Most likely the problem is caused because the base is not screwed all the way on to the jar. This could be from just not turning it on all the way or it could loosen while running. Make sure the base is tightly closed before putting is into the power unit. To remove it you can lubricate the tabs with some vegetable oil and then force it. GE service suggested that. I have heard of two people joining forces to get it off without apparently damaging it but no guaranty's. If you have the reciept it should have a two year warranty, at least mine does.
