Haier HLP21E agitation and spin problem

I think I need your help WITH MY Haier HPL21E portable washer.

WASH CYCLE: The tub agitates 3-4x then beeps with the 3 flashing lights [wash; rinse; spin]
The flashing stops and the wash starts again. This time 1 agitation followed by beeps & flash for only a few seconds;
then it starts the wash again.

SPIN CYCLE: The only way I get it to spin for at least 5 seconds is turn the machine OFF; Turn it back ON: select SPIN cycle only; press START and 5 seconds later the spinning stops.

I just heard water sloshing underneath the tub. Is there a way I can check to see if there's a lot of water pooled under the tub?
Could this be the reason for the agitating and spinning problem.

I wish I could afford a repair service, but I'm stuck figuring this out by myself. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ps. There's oly a small load of clothes so its not an overloading probem

SOURCE: Agitator moves slowly on wash cycle/not at all on spin cycle

it sounds like the dogs are worn. try twisting the agitator post by hand,it should move freely in one direction then lock up going the other.its a pretty easy fix if they are.pry off the top of the agitator post off then remove the cap inside,there is a bolt that holds the post down.i'm pretty sure it's 7/16 in. once the bolt is loose,lift the whole agitator out of machine and with your hand inside post turn it upside downand let the dog holder slide out.watch how the dogs fit into the holder, replace with new dogs and reverse the removal process.
if the machine wont spin, check the lid switch. thats usually the cause of a no spin situation.other than that a wet vac is your best bet.hope that helps.

SOURCE: Whirlpool top Loading washing machine won't spin on spin cycle

If the washer won't finish a spin cycle, it probably means that your timer went bad or stalled. You can take the control panel off and look at the contacts for scorching or corrosion.

SOURCE: agitator only turns clockwise (Whirlpool top load)

You will need to replace the dogs under the agitator, they are pretty easy. Just pop the cap, take out the center bolt, remove it the dogs are 4 teeth looking items.

Washer tub does not move to spin or wash

You either have a bad solenoid, timer, loose belt, or water level sensor.

Water is coming in through the entry hose and running straight out the drain hose. No agitate, no spin, just constant water. Happened after I tried to wash three towels & got an imbalance alarm. R

Is the discharge hose higher than the machine? If it is Lower it will never fill. Don't think there is a shut off in the hose to stop the water discharge.

WASHER DOES NOT SWISH DURING WASH CYCLE AND DOES NOT SPIN. IT APPEARS THAT THE ONE BELT IS IN GOOD CONDITION, NOTICED A HOOK BELOW THE BELT THAT HAS NOTHING ATTACHED TO IT BUT I PULLED IT AND IT SEEMED...

It is possible that the BELT IDLER PULLEY WHICH HAS A TENSION SPRING CONNECTED TO THE CHASSIS HAS COME OFF.
So please check if the belt is tight around the agitator pulley and the motor. If not there is spring which could have jumped and so the belt which is free over the motor does not rotate the tub.
So look for a hook or spring on the sides and pull it to give tension to the belt.

Tub rotates CW during agitation, out of balance, hits side of metal cabinet, but no error code

Hello srcoray,

Did you replace the clutch, just trying to get a feel for your hands on experience with the machine? If you did the work did your machine use the upper roller clutch bearing along with the clutch pulley mounted roller clutch bearing?

The FAV6800AW uses a reversing motor and motor controller that powers the motor and clutch pulley to rotate CW in Wash/Agitate cycle and CCW in Spin Cycle.

In Wash/Agitate cycle the roller clutch bearing should rotate freely CW allowing the agitator shaft to drive the transmission in wash cycle driving the tumblers to rotate only not the wash basket. In spin cycle the roller clutch bearing will lock up (one-way roller clutch bearing) driving the spinner shaft to rotate the wash basket and transmission CCW. Unless my thinking is wrong it sounds like the one way roller clutch bearing is frozen or dragging and not rotating freely in wash cycle rotating the wash basket CW. I’m an owner like you and will try to help.

Just a few other questions;

If you have a load of wet clothes in the wash basket and you select Spin Only cycle will the spin cycle complete with out dc/UC errors?

With the lid raised can you rotate the wash basket CW? It should not; it should only rotate CCW and do that with very little resistance.
