Hello
There is some loose soldeings in the audio output section of your Apex TV. It is quite common for this model with this fault. Resolder all the susepected soldering points in the audio output section of your TV, by applying a little more solder to each point, without making any solder bridge short in between adjcecent solder terminals. This will solve the problem of your TV. OK.
If your Child Lock has been engaged you can unlock it by pressing and holding the FUNCTION key and pressing the MUTE key on your remote control. The only way to activate and deactivate the lock is with the remote control so ensure that you keep it in a safe place.
If you have lost the manual for your TV you can download a replacement at the following website:

If you have the original Apex remote supplied with the TV, press and hold the FUNCTION key in the top left corner of the remote, and then press MUTE while still holding this down.
This method works for many Apex Digital TVs, including AT1302, AT2002, AT2402, AT2702 - plus most other models which have the FUNCTION key.
If you have any other remote, then the method for switching it off will be a combination of 2 keys - one of which - will probably (although not guaranteed) to be mute. The correct key combination will be different on almost every remote, so it's simply trial and error to find it. It's also advisable to switch off all other devices before trying random key combinations!
If you don't have the original remote or any remote you can use with the TV, unlocking it may not be possible.
If you need further assistance, please let me know the brand and model number of the remote you are using to operate the TV - if any.
Apex TVs use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for many models is 6688. Other sets may not have one, or may have a default code of 1225 instead of an override code.
To use the override code:
Hit the MENU key to get to the menus.
Go down to the SYSTEM menu and hit the right arrow on the remote control.
Once in the SYSTEM menu, go to PARENTAL GUIDE. It will ask for your code.
Enter the override code listed above. From here, you can turn on and off different rating restrictions as well as set a new code.
No matter what the V-chip code is set to, the override code will still work. If you have a blank screen with a red key on the bottom left, simply press the (function or F) button and the mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as desired
OK.
