The pulse light is blinking, but the blender will not work

The blender (cyclone) does not turn on. The pulse light is blinking--I have no idea why it will not stop blinking and the blender will not turn on. It is of course plugged in. It is one week old.

This worked for me - only took about 5 minutes (the amount of time it took for me to google Black & Decker and search through their FAQ)

Q. My blender stopped in the middle of blending. What happened?
A. Your blender has a motor overheat protection system that will automatically shut off the blender when it has been running too long with a heavy load. If this happens, unplug the blender and wait 10-15 minutes to allow the motor to cool down. Plug in the blender and resume blending.

I fixed mine by putting it in the freezer overnight. It has not stopped working since and I use it a lot. I suspect that this reset the overheat sensor, assuming this is a bi-metal type, but not sure why this worked or how but it solved the problem. :-)

We're having the same unfortunate issue with the overheating (blinking light). We believe we put in a medium load, which isn't too heavy. Not even 10 minutes in, the power button started flashing-

In the situation that the accompanying happens the client just uproots or modifies that ingredient(s) being referred to and pushes any mix period switch, after which the gadget is immediately eager to resume work. I exhibit the accompanying element every now and then by introducing this tackle of a sort into the jug with edge while the unit is an incredible off employment, and having the thought immovably against the base in the container while at the same time beginning some kind of cycle.

My ninja single serve won't start I put the container on it won't do anything

If the light on the power button is blinking, the single serve cup isn't fully engaged. Insert and twist clockwise to lock into position.

When using the single serve cup, the only blender button that will work is the pulse button.

Black & Decker BLC12600B 650W Cyclone 12-Speed, the on button blinks and the blender is not working. I have put into different sockets, it just doesn't work.

Unplug the blender. Use a baking soda and vinegar solution to clean the metal contacts on the bottom of the metal blender blade. (You will see a small circular inverted washer looking thing). Use the solution on the main blender unit also. (You will see a small circular metal piece in the center) Scrub them both with the solution and wipe. These seem to be some type of sensors. I then replugged the blender back in and it worked for me!! Good luck!

Blinking lite in black and decker cyclone blender keeps blinking and blender wont work at all!

Throw the Black/Decker away. I am going to. This is my second blender form them that has done the nonresponsive red light blinking thing. I figured that the first one was a lemon; however, it must be that Black/Decker is only concerned about meeting walmarts demands on price. Black & Decker's saying should be - Who needs quality when you can pay less the first time.

Blinking lights on KitchenAid blender

Alternating blinking lights on a Kitchenaid blender indicate a bad circuit board which is unable to run the motor properly. Unplug the blender, take the jar off, and turn the spindle by hand. Then plug it back in. If it does not work properly, try a different outlet (perhaps not in the kitchen). If nothing works, the blender needs to be repaired.
