I am having a problem with my lawn tractor similar to what you describe. Mine runs fine for 15 to 20 minutes and then stalls. It will start back up and run for a few minutes and then stall again. When it stalls it is like when you get off of the seat with the blades engaged. I have replaced the gas and fuel filter and have cleaned the carb and air cleaner with no effect on this problem. I am now thinking that the problem is the fuel stoper located at the bottom of the carb. There is a plunger screwed into the bottom of the carb bowl that is held down when the key is turned on. If you get off of the seat when the engine is running and the brake is not on or the blades are engaged the stoper is pushed up into the main jet fuel path causing the engine to stall. I am going to fabricate a heat shield around this plunger to see if this corrects the problem.

I had exactly the same problem and checked/replaced all kinds of things as you did. This is going to sound silly, but it turns out the hole in the gas tank cap was clogged. It would empty the fuel line, then stop running. Let it sit a few minutes and the fuel line would slowly fill up and it would then run again for a couple minutes. I now keep a tooth pick in my pocket when I mow.

Mine always starts-- and won't start again if I turn it off- going to try the flywheel key replacement-- which affects the timing-- otherwise-- let me know what you find out as a solution

2010 model 20 hp Briggs motor. Fuel going through fuel line, but not going into carberator. Motor runs good for about 15 min, but after heating up this fuel problem starts. After cooling down for an...

Two things:
1 Is fuel coming out of the fuel line. Older mowers have old fuel lines and they tend to get weak and collapse went they warm up with engine heat. Replace the old fuel line.
2 deposits in the carb. take off the air cleaner, start it up and spray a good carb cleaner in the carb until the engine dies. Put some 'seafoam' in the gas and a little in the oil and put the air cleaner back on and start the mower and mow on FULL THROTTLE. this should claen out the carb. Yes the mower will run rough for awhile.

these two cheap fixes will solve 85 % of carb problems. GOOD LUCK

Have gas in oil - will not start

Gas in oil is usually a symptom of flooding, caused by a stuck needle valve or damaged float in the carburetor. But 65 hours is awfully "young" for this problem.

Motor runs for 5-10 min. then starts missing and quits.

Check your spark first,if you do not have spark your problem is the coils-if you do have spark the problem probaly lies withone of your valves getting stuck after getting hot and soonas it cools down a little it closes and then you can restart it till it gets hot again.Hope this helps

Craftsman riding lawnmower shuts off after 15 - 20 mins.

I have a Troy-Bilt push mower that does the same.

Try this - Run the mower until the point of quitting. Keep the hood up and be ready to remove the gas cap. As soon as you feel it start to stutter like it's going to quit, unscrew the gas cap and see if it comes back to life and doesn't quit.

If that works, then what is happening is that the gas in the carburetor bowl is getting depleted faster than the tank can provide it, possibly because of a clogged vent that's supposed to allow air back into the gas tank as gas is used.

You can try running with the gas cap not quite tight, to let some air seep in that way, but that's more prone to sloshing leaks. You could also try drilling a hole in the gas cap - about 3/16" is plenty, and stuffing a piece of natural sponge in to keep the gas in and dirt out. Synthetic sponge will deteriorate in gas.

Craftsman 19.5 riding mower starts runs quits no power

When you let it sit did you remove all the fuel or add a additive? If you did not then I would recommend that you remove all the fuel and add brand new fuel to your system. Gasoline only last for about 3 to 4 months before it will start to go bad and this sounds like your problem

Starts quits then starts after a few min

Have you checked your fuel filter? it may be clogged or contain water, which will limit flow of the fuel. This would be simplest to relace. Otherwise I believe it to be a carb problem.
