Wrap a dry towel completely around the outside of the disposal above where you believe its leaking but below any drain. Secure in place with tape and wait. If towel stays dry, then ok its leaking through the bottom bearing and replace unit.
Make sure the jets in the UPPER arm are all clear, and that there's no debris inside the top turret. On the bottom arm, IF the lower turret has (or is supposed to have) a rotating baffle, make sure it's in place - this looks like a very loose washer on the lower turret, running in a groove ~ the plastic versions get lost, the metal versions slip down and don't do their job.
Clean the drain channels along the bottom of the door and especially around the hinges, you will probably need a thin bottle brush or a steamer to get into the nooks and crannies.
The defrost drain which is behind the evaporator wall becomes frozen over or blocked by debris. You must remove the back wall to get at the drain and thaw it or snake it with wire to free the clog. After its clear, wrap some copper wire around the defrost heater and drop a length of it into the drain hole. This will prevent it from freezing over again.
Hi just read your posting. After the machine has finished a cycle try looking underneath the machine to see if you can isolate the place where it is leaking.Turn the power off at the wall and when you are looking under the machine use a torch to see if you can spot any water around the pump and black drain hose near the pump. The pump should have a fan attached to it.Check under the lid at the back and see if the water inlet nozzle is loose or broken. Also check where the drain hose comes out of the frame of the machine to see if the hose is split.Hope this helps and please reply for further assistance.
Defrost drain hole plugged - probably with ice. Defrost fridge, verify that you don't have something like a green bean stuck in the drain line. A piece of uninsulated solid copper wire wrapped around the defrost heater and run down that hole about 1/2" past the opening - MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T TOUCH THE TUBING OR CABINET LINER will prevent future freeze-ups.
Look at 3 things:
(1) is there something wrapped around the rear
wheels or axles?
(2) Is there something wrapped around the small, front wheels or axles. (not likely this is the culprit.)
(3) Is your brushroll still turning. (This requires looking underneath while unit is on, have someone else nearby to pull the cord from wall, turn on & off quickly and make sure brush roll spins.
If it is rear wheels, you can pop them out if necessary to clean the debris, they may be hard to press back in. Similar for the small front wheels, don't loose the axles. If brush roll is issue, check belt, insure that brush roll will spin freely and does not have debris wrapped around it.
If this one has the drain on the back wall at the bottom take a piece of wire and run in the hole If it is at the to in back take small cup loose and do same with the wire. pour a little beach water through drain if possible.trace out drain hose and blow it out if need be. watch you don't blow it out on food. May want to use a shop vac to **** it out. rag to fill in around hose works for me. upper end could also be froze. good luck.
At some point the freezer got too cold and the drain froze (it is a poor design with a loop in the bottom). Once this freezes it will not thaw for a long time.
Here is what I did:
Remove all items from freezer and let it completely thaw
Pull unit away from wall to access rear
Cut loop off drain line where it hangs in drain pan
Place a bare copper wire (#12 will work) through the drain line and wrap it loosely around the heating coil above drain pan
Enjoy
Did this 6 months ago and have not had problem since
ckd spray arm be sure it is not binding on something also ck for possible split in spray arm look close some are almost invisable ..when water is pushed through spray arm the seam will sometimes separate..also watch for oversuds
From what you describe, drain water from the top drawer is getting into the bottom drawer or waste water from the disposer is backing up into the bottom drawer.
1. Each drawer has its own drain hose. Each hose should terminate at the drain point with a 'Y' adapter. 2. Inspect the drain point (under the sink where the drain pipes are) to make sure this 'Y' adapter is present. (you should see two drain hoses from the DW). If not present, then the DW drain lines are not installed properly. (Someone took a shortcut and installed the 'Y' adapter behind the DW) 3. If terminated properly, make sure the drain hoses extend upward as they leave the drain point.
It is important the drain lines are connected properly to ensure proper drainage from the DW. Consult the installation manual for complete details.
