My Acer Notebook Touchpad won't work. How can I fix It?

there might be a loose connection in the touchpad, if you are out of warranty it might not pay to fix it.

This might be due to the drivers issue with the touchpad.. Try to unistall the drivers of touchpad from the device manager.. Then install a fresh copy from the support website Acer website..(www.support.acer.com). If the issue is yet to be fixed please contact Acer to replace the touchpad....

Re-installed your Touchpad driver.By default,it shoud work otherwise use an external USB mouse and check your Right-Click. If it work then the notebook Right Click Touchpad mouse has some faulty.

I think you won't be able to find spare in any sites even Manufacturer sites,you have to carry on with an external USB Mouse.

i found the issue you might have a bug where after it installs the FN Key actually locks out your touchpad. I just figured this out after installing all known drivers to man on my laptop. Lol, go figure a vista recovery bug created this error. Hope this helps you out (Hold in FN Key + The Mouse disable/enable key to possibly fix the touchpad)

open the touchpad and remove the cable and reinstall ........and after thay are working fine

On my acer it is the fn and f7 button pushed together.. that turns the touchpad on and off
