I just replaced the cup drive on the ice dispenser on my GE side by side(looks like the pre 2002 model). I wasn't instructed on how to do it, nor were instructions included with the part. I released the tension on the metal auger in order to replace the cup. Now I cannot get the auger to remain seated in the disk at the mouth of the dispenser. Somehow I have to rehook the auger in there with tension, but I don't know how to get the disk to stay in place when the auger turns.

SOURCE: ice maker will not dispense ice.

ON THE AUGER MOTOR IS A COUPLER THAT SLIDES INTO THE AUGER WHEN THE BIN IS INSTALLED. SOMETIMES, THE COUPLER WILL ROUND OUT THE FLAT SIDE OF THE CENTER HOLE. THIS WILL CAUSE THE MOTOR TO CONTINUE TO TURN, BUT THE COUPLER WILL REMAIN STILL DUE TO THE RESISTANCE OF THE BIN AUGER. ALSO, BE SURE THE ICE IN THE BIN HASN'T MELTED TOGETHER BINDING UP THE AUGER. IF NECESSARY, REMOVE THE ICE AND START OVER WITH FRESH ICE. YOU MAY NEED TO REPLCAE THE COUPLER OR AUGER MOTOR.

Hello. My G.E. Monogram water dispenser trickles water after we get water from it. We have to keep a cup there to catch the excess water. How do I fix it so it stops as soon as we get water out of t

Try replacing the Water Valve. It is located in the back of the refrigerater, left side. You should see three tubes connected to it. This part fixes the following symptoms - Leaking water, Water dispenser will not dispense water, Ice maker will not make ice and Ice maker won't dispense ice. GE part#WR57X10032. The Water Valve is extreemly easy to replace. Only takes about 15 mins total time to remove, install and confirm. I just replaced mines..my problem went from leaking water to no water was dispensing at all. I have the GE Profile, it uses the same water valve as your GE Monogram. There is a You Tub video that also shows how to replace. Good Luck!

GE TFX24E side by side refrigerator, ice maker won't fill with water.

Hi, I have a GE TFX24E refrigerator. The ice maker is not filling with water. I replaced teh water valve with no joy. If I pour a cup of water into the dispenser the ice maker will freeze and harvest the ice. Any ideas? Is there a replaceable water fill sensor?

How to replace the cup drive on GE side by side model PSS26PSTB

I'm not sure if this is a serious post but the cup drive sits in the ge ice maker cube holder tray and is at the back of the ice holder attached in a type of press fit fashion at the end of the 1 piece cork screw that moves ice from the tray to the dispenser............

GE refrigerator model GSS22 WGMD ice maker motor

If you cant manually turn your auger motor, it may be bad. Does it dispense solid ice or no ice at all? Another thing may be your control panel. That could be bad too, it's the one sending juice to both your solenoid and auger motor.

Snow build up inside the dispenser

There is only so much you can do. But the problem is the gasket inside that seals around the opening where your ice is dispenses is bad. You need a service tech to replace gasket. If you want to try get the model and serial number and take it to an Appliance parts house and tell them you want dispenser seal gasket. You just tell them what its doing and most of them know exactly what you want. Rus

GE Profile 26.6 cu. ft. side by side is frosting in the shoot

Oddly enough, the problem is with your ice dispenser. What happens is that the door at the bottom of the ice chute is probably not sealed. This is likely because there is a solenoid that is supposed to hold that door open when you push your cup against the dispenser arm, and THEN, close it again when you release. If the chute door is not sealed, warmer, moist air from outside the refridgerator will be canstantly drawn up the chute where the moisture will freeze as frost. Gradually, this frost builds up in the chute until there is no longer enough room foir the ice to fall. You can usually look up at the chute from outside and see that the door is not sealed. In my case, I left it unsealed because the door would not open to let the ice out. It took me about 3 months to figure out that this was causing my frost-clogging problem. The solution is to replace the solenoid that is supposed to open and close the chuite door. If you remove the despenser panel, you will see that this solenoid is probably all rusted up and not working. The following link will allow you to enter you model number and see a diagram of the offending area. http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php

GE GSS25LGM Ice maker not dispensing ice

You have one of three things wrong. The auger motor is frozen up, the ice bucket is broken or you need to dump out any ice, run warm water through the entire ice bucket, dry it out and try again with fresh cubes. My guess is the auger motor is frozen. You can buy a vinyl boot that covers the auger motor to prevent moisture buildup and freezing from GE Parts at 1-800-626-2002
