Hello! Definitely, you made some damage to your lamp or ballast. Most likely candidate is the lamp. I have couple cases, when people moved LCD projection TVs and soon after the lamp was gone for good. First: try to reinstall the lamp. It could be the only problem. But: if it, still acting up after re-inserting, I would wait and observe the behavior. Bad lamp will quit soon. Bad ballast might do so, but in a longer time frame and it's very difficult to replace or repair the one. Only repair shop could handle the problem. good luck, Alex.
Turn on projector, press menu on remote. go to "Option"menu and press enter, go to "Lamp Runtime" press AND HOLD enter for 3 seconds. After doing so, "Lamp Runtime" will change to "Time Reset {Power Off}" now turn off power. (Dont hit menu or enter as it will cancel this procedure...just power off. Hope this helps.
Hello
if replacement lamp has done, was the lamp timer reset after replacement? and if the lamp is original, there is either a bad lamp or a cooling problem. Good luck
you can view lamp hours in the menu. Keep in mind, however, that there is also a reset for the lamp hours, so there is no way to know if the reading is accurate or not.
As you can see, new lamp is probably way more costly than what you are paying for the projector. Why not just purchase a newer, better projector for same price as replacement lamp?
Often a lamp reset procedure is required as well as changing the lamp over. not sure for the hitachi's (check Manual) over models often requires holding poweer button while plugging into power to reset the counter.
You are looking at two hurdles here: 1) The lumen output of an LED light is nowhere even close to the output of a high voltage lamp in a LCD projector. 2) The color temperature of the LEDs, even if they were bright enough, will likely not match that of the lamp. This means the colors will not display correctly.
While it is a very ambitious project, I think you may be better off replacing the lamp with the proper model.
It seems like my toshiba goes into, stanby... i plug it up, and the standby light just flashes.. for a while, and then it stops until i unplug it and plug it back up... it will not come on...
Its like its in standby mold..
Does it need a new lamp..
I looked at the lamp, and it look like it was ok, but i did notice something they may look like bubbles, or something inside, im not sure though...
