I am getting error code ll trying to find out if it is worth paying somebody to fix it Describe your Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer Problem

If it a FAV6800A or FAV9800A I can..........What is the error code.......DC, UC OD, OP? Is the machine banging around in spin cycle of the wash cycle. Be as detailed as you can with the problem description.

Maytag neptune top load washer will not spin out with small loads, large loads are fine. I get the DC error at about 10 mins left in spin cycle. No amount of shifting load will solve problem

This is a Clutch issue could be a easy fix if the Tub Seal is not the root cause.

If you get no help at this forum Google This ""Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW""

5th post down you will find the SM and support for the "DC and UC" unbalance error codes. Good luck..............DH1200s

Continue to receive a "DC" code on the Maytap

I no longer post on this site no way to post a Sticky.

If you want to DIY the repair Google this phrase ""Sticky: Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW""" Read the post Part 1; DC or UC unbalance error codes in Spin Cycle what is causing this issue? Part 2 for the fix action.

Post your issue in the repair forum not in the Sticky. Please include your Model Number i.e. FAV6800A or FAV9800A and I will help you.

Maytag Nuptune... when it reaches the spin cycle, it spins, reverses direction spins , then stops. I push the start button and once again it goes through the one spin and reverse and stops again

""when it reaches the spin cycle, it spins, reverses direction spins""

So I understand do you have the washer top raised to view this action? The wash basket rotates one rotation or are you talking about the tumblers?

If you raise the washer lid and rotate the wash basket CCW the Spin direction will it rotate CCW with very little effort?

Any dC or UC error code on fail to Spin?

If you do Spin Only Cycle do you have the same results.

I would enter Service Mode and do the Quick Spin test on page 14 of the Service Manual and see what the results are.

You can get the SM from this forum once you join.

Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer: machine starts to spin, stops, starts againe, over...

From what you are describing I feel your FAV6800A or FAV9800A has a Clutch malfunction see this post to get started on a DIY repair Clutch Fix.

The classic failure is the machine tries to spin up the wash basket starts banging from side to side then errors out with an unbalance error of dC or uC. Is that your failure scenario?

Error code of "dc" on my TL Maytag Neptune

If your machine is FAV6800AW or FAV9800AW the dc/UC errors are caused by a clutch malfunction. Your machine is shutting down with those errors so your Tub Displacement Sensor is working as designed.

Fix the Clutch malfunction and you can wash a single sock or a load of blue jeans and you will not take the dc or UC unbalance errors. See this post for the fix.
