Sounds like the damper isn't closing or the thermostat isn't working. I've seen these dampers freeze open and it basically turns your food side into a freezer side! Look at part #115 on this site. Take a mirror and look way back in the upper corner to see if you can see the little damper window is open, I'll bet it is staying open all the time pushing the freezer air into your fresh food side. http://tinyurl.com/5bnk6f.

Refrigerator side freezes

if the food in the fridge side is freezing it sounds like the damper door isn't closing, the way it works is cold air is produced in the freezer side, the evaporator fan blows the cold air from the freezer to the fridge side and it blows through the damper assy. if the damper door isn't closing youll have sub zero air constantly blowing into the fridge sidethe part number is 5304482075 but it's around 200 dollars.you can go here to sears and look up the parts or call a tech in to check it out

We experienced some bad weather with rolling black outs and now out Fridgidaire FRS26R4A is not cooling, is there such a thing as a reset button on refrigerators like garbage disposals? Help!

it is possible u got some surge voltage or low voltage and that could fry your compressor.. your fans could be running but no comp. you might check the start relay on the comp. ok.

Refrugerator

Make sure the condenser under or behind has good air flow. There is supposed to be at least 1 inch clearance around the refrigerator. Be careful putting bags and things against it. You may have to take the grill off the bottom and look with a flashlight. If the coils are full of lint, you can buy a good coil cleaning brush at home depot. Take a vacuum and sweep it up.
