Download Help I need to download on my Windows ME PIXMA MP470

    don't have the download disc and can't set up my printer. computer doesn't see the printer.

    I have Pixma MP470 - Vista Home Software. All installed from Disc. Printer works fine but scanner is not recognised.



    Message reads: - Cannot communicate with scanner. Cable may be disconnected.



    I know this can't be right as the printer works fine.



    Any Ideas would be of great help - Please.



    My old computer runs on XP and everything works.

No drivers are available for the printer for Windows ME. It may be time to upgrade your computer if you want to make use of newer printers and hardware.

need to select drivers and software option and then windows 7 as operating system..there would be 2 drivers listed..look out for the second one as the first one might be a spanish one.

Yes, actually the desk contain the Device Drivers, Drivers are actually communication files, that tell the Software (Windows, in your Case) on how to operate that specific Hardware, so for every Operating System, the drivers are differently programmed. For you Windows 7, I've attatched the download link below, download and install the driver, its from the vendors site. You Printer will start working then.

Will not load print driver
http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010526.asp this is the driver site for the canon mp470.
there select your windows OS then click submit to download a newer driver for your printer.
the driver on your disc may be no good for your windows or the disc may have a problem.

Not sure what OS you are using, you must know your OS and install the correct driver on the correct OS.
You can get details and download relevant drivers at below link,

Click here for the Canon MP470 driver download page. Give it a moment, it starts on service and support then switches. If for some reason it doesn't switch, click on the Downloads tab. Select your operating system and follow the prompts.
