My GE Profile dishwasher won't start. The power supply is fine and the lights to the right of the START button will light up and beep when pressed. None of the lights to the left of the START button work or beep. The START button itself beeps but doesn't consistently light up. Any suggestions? Thank you.
SOURCE: Continuous beep after power went off and on
I'm the one who posted on May 23. I tried turning off the breakers and it was still beeped when powered back on. I ordered a new touchpad and control module. When I replaced the touchpad, the beeping was gone, but not all the buttons worked, so I changed out the control module, too, and it works:) I'm going to put clear caulk along the top to prevent spills from leaking through the front panel.

Turns out the folks who installed it did a shoddy job of connecting the power. The power connections were not twisted on tightly enough, and after time, the continuous arcs of current between the loose connections burned through the wire nuts and finally separated the poorly twisted electrical wires. SOLUTION: Turned off power to the dishwasher, chopped off old, burned up wire ends, stripped some insulation off, twisted/spliced the electrical wires back toghether TIGHTLY and then tightly closed it all with quality wire-nuts. Power came right back on! :-) Yay! The only problem is, since the washer had been sitting/dead for a week or two, the lubricating water on the motor's ceramic bearing dried up, causing the motor to seize up. Had to replace the motor. :-( But everything is working fine now!
