You must run the fuel line through the back of the tank and out the filler hole, make your connections,i used a small amount of vaseline to make the connections. Then pull the filter into place, make sure some of the nipple of the filter pokes through, then slide the retainer ring on the hose and force it onto the filter nipple.

Ryobi mdl RY 26921, the fuel line from the tank - which fitting on the carb does it go on? Top(where the bulb is) or bottom?

The main fuel line from the tank that has the filter in the tank on the end of it will connect to the brass nipple near the bottom of the carb. The top nipple by the bulb is the return line and just sends air/old fuel back into the fuel tank. So, fuel supply line is connected on the OTHER end of the carb.

Hi, I have a ryobi BC30 brush cutter my fuel lines inside my fuel tank broke so I don't know which one go where right now the filter plugs into the bottom of carb and return and another short hose go to...

The small diameter line out of fuel tank (has filter in-tank on end) connects directly to the side of the carburetor that has the fuel pump....that is the cover without the hole in it. Other larger diameter fuel line out of tank connects to the longer nipple on the external purge/primer bulb. The bulb "pulls" fresh fuel from the fuel tank to the carb and then out of the carb to itself, where it then "pushes" any air/old fuel back into the fuel tank. The remaining larger diameter fuel line in this setup goes from the metering chamber (has cover with writing on it and a vent-hole) side of the carburetor to the smaller nipple on the purge/primer bulb. Again, on the primer bulb, the longer nipple has a line going directly from it to the tank. This is the return line. The shorter nipple on the bub has a line from it going to the metering chamber side of the carb. If the purge/primer bulb is on top of the carb...small line from carb body to small hole in tank with filter. Larger diameter line goes from the bulb on the fuel pump side of the carb to the larger hole in the fuel tank where sometimes the line is held in place with a nylon nipple connector that keeps the line from pulling out of the tank. Otherwise, the line should enter the tank for about 1/2" or so

I have a Ryobi 700r trimmer - I needs a diagram of all the fuel line hookups

Need a diagram on how to connect the fuel lines back on a ryobi 725r trimmer

Typical fuel line routing is:

One line (the one with the fuel filter in the end of it) comes out of the fuel tank2.gif and goes to the bottom fitting on the carburator. The second line comes out of the tank and goes to the bottom fitting on the primer bulb. The third section of line goes from the top fitting on primer bulb to top fitting on the carburator. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Gas line cracked and nipple fell back into tank ..how do I remove gas tank to replace gas line and nipple????..ryobi 725r trimmer

Empty the tank by dumping into a can or something. Shake the trimmer around until the "nipple" falls out. Get a replacement fuel line and follow their instructions. When yoou put the tube back into the tank, have something that you can guide the line through the hole with. I used a small hex wrench. If you cut the tip of the tube at a sharp taper, it will be much easier to start through the hole. You might think of replacing the return line as well. You should not have to remove the tank if you expose the carb and remove the air filter...Good luck...Lee

RYOBI 725R FUEL LINE DIAGRAM

I just rebuilt my 725r. I don't have a diagram but I can explain it. There are two lines coming out of the fuel tank. The line closest to the rear is the fuel feed and has the in-tank filter (these are available for replacement). This line goes through the lower case hole of the air filter housing and attaches to the bottom of the carburetor. The line toward the front of the tank attaches to the longer/lower fitting the primer bulb and is the return. The line coming off the shorter/upper fitting of the primer bulb goes through the upper hole of the air filter housing and attaches to the top of the carburetor.

FYI also, the forward carburetor screw is the low idle adjustment & the rear, the high-speed mixture. The original oil mixture spec called for 32:1
