Hi,from your problem,it seems the problem is from the logic board, you can however use a mulimeter to read the voltage supplied by the board,if it reads a low amount of voltage it means the board need to be serviced and cleaned thoroughly, but if it reads no voltage at all meaning its not supplying no amount of power,it means the logical board is bad and needs to be replaced.

Thanks and take care

The fans in my cooler stopped working. how can I fix, or replace them ? I have an DCW283BLS Model

There are 3 fans in this unit. One high up in the back panel for defrost (which should seldom run), and two inside the box with the LED's that divide the compartment into upper and lower areas. All are interchangeable. Replacement parts are available through Sears Parts Direct.
If you intend to do the repairs yourself, make sure the cooler is unplugged when working on it. To gain access to the two fans in the divider box, remove the wine racks to give you more room, and just remove the four screws holding the top of the divider box on and lift it off. One of the fans is directly behind the PC board and the other is inside the 8x10 foam box to the rear of it. Be careful with this foam box, it is delicate. To gain access to the fan inside, use a thin bladed knife or razor blade to delicately separate the top from the sides.
Before replacing fans, try tracing the leads from the fans to the PC board and swapping the plugs for the fans on the PC board and plugging the cooler back in to see if any of the fans are working. Make sure you restore the plugs to their original positions. If all three fans are not working, the problem may be the PC board or the thermocouples.

How do you get to the top fan? mine is making noise up top. where is a manual I can DL? can any computer fan work, would radio shack have one? thanks J-Rod in Denver, CO.?

Just take a few pictures of the wires and where they attach to the board prior to disconnecting anything. Try googling the manual.

Removal of the board is pretty easy and the replacement board runs $35-72.

My Danby wine cooler fan is making a horrendous noise - it sounds like it's trying to start up and then it gives up. I hav tried tightening the housing screws but this works for a couple of minutes and...

Where is the noise coming from? Check the fan at the back of the upper compartment. They seem to be defective and die after about 3 years (just outside of warranty... how convenient). I'm dealing with the same issue now. (As search on the internet indicates that we're not alone!) When its making that noise, try pressing the back plate around the little fan and see if it changes the noise.

Compressor runs and gets hot but does not cool unit

This product has been discontinued
i dont think many danby units are parts supported
more likely generic after market parts fitted by air con mechanics do the job
relay first might be a thematic one and an compressor motor fan relay
then check gas pressure

Noisy Wine Fridge

The problem is likely with one of the two fans. A new fan is available from Danby (1-800-263-2629). My noisy fan is the condensor fan located at the bottom rear of the device. After removing the cooler from under the cabinet, the source of the noise was obvious. You will need to tell them whether it is the upper fan or lower fan. Leave the cooler upright for a few hours before you plug it in so that you do not damage the condenser. Price for the fan from Danby is $20.15 including shipping. Fan not working

Does it have a compressor and does it run? If so there is probably a relay on that board that is bad or only runs with the compressor.
