Just want the cold water - Black and Decker 900144

Hey, I leave the thing unplugged because it is constantly heating up water, but I never use it. Especially because it's almost summer.
Does any one know how to disable it from making hot water, while still cooling water? Is the little while screw on the back the thermostat?

Problems with Black & Decker #900144 TopLoad Water Dispenser: It is dripping water constantly and the item is only 4 mnths old

you have to open it up and look where the water is dripping from. it could be from the rubber hoses that connects the tank to the faucets.

if it's on the hoses, that would be easy to replace, but sometimes the leak would come from the stainless tank whiich would be very hard to replace.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Black & Decker TCM700 Coffee Maker problem

All coffe makers have a thermal cutoff fuse located on the bottom heating plate. It is usually in series with one of the leads to the actual heater. This should read "short" with an ohm meter. If it is "open" it needs replacement. They are rated in Degrees celsius, and are sometimes difficult to find. Black and Decker may be able to send you one.
