Rca hd52w59 when power is on and tv is running there is a high pitch sound comming out along with the reg. sound the high pitch seems to come from rear of tv. if you tap on back of panel or shake cables it will stop for a little while then start up again. i have removed all cables and tried all combos. even with no cables at all still has high pitch sound have had tv for over a year problem started about week and a half ago.

It most likely is coming (based on model number listed here) from the high voltage transformer---ways to silence that up to and including replacing that part.

Thats the classic sign of a failed deflection board. You can get the ITC222A deflection board which comes with warranty and installation instructions from www.tvrepairworld.com its listed as the ITC222A remanufactured deflection board under the RCA CRT Projection Circuit Board catagory

The FBT,the flyback transformer is dead.Some the transitors in the deflection board is dead also.U know how to used a Ohm meter,and know soldering.Tries wesite like Tv repair World.com will help u to find the cause and replacement parts.

Sounds like the flyback # 270125 you can get a replacement at www.tvrepairworld.com which includes the CD with instructions and the two associated Capacitors.

Possibly the HV splitter as that set is also famous for bad splitters.

the horizonal output transistor is shorted-replace it also resolder coil near transistor-if output shorts again flyback transformer is bad

is this just a whine since you describe no problem with the picture it dosent jump or change color or flicker. there may be an easy fix this sounds like some coils oscillating and i tell you what can be done you can take some silcon and put on these coils to dampen then vibrations. now ther may be other problems but without looking this is my first gues ...where are these coils? ll037 on the power supply deflection board

coil LL0037 resolder then with a glue gun glue top of coil and down.OR replace coil.

In this model the horizontal drive coil vibrates and makes a high pitch squeal. Most times it is intermitent. Touching on the coil with something (non electrical, like wood) will make it stop or change it's pitch. The fix my shop uses: It's not to technical, but, we put fingernail polish around the coil. It's a remedy I've used for decades and has always worked. Some shops use a hot glue gun. With the back open you can hear the coil to locate it. When fixing the problem have the set unplugged. When a technician is working on a television while it's plugged in. He uses only one hand and stays away from the high voltage.

Sounds like the capacitor that goes bad just before the hIgh Voltage transformer goues bad. If i were you I would call an authorized RCA repair Shope and see if this is going to cause more damage to your set in the future.
