I can't get the blades on my Delta 37-190 Jointer to move up and down using the allen head screws. The screws move up and down but the blade does nothing. What is the problem??

Sounds like your tracking screw needs adjustment, located right beside the knob used for tightening after adjusting the tension on the blade. Allen wrench required. Turning right pushes out and turning left pulls it in. A little is a lot when adjusting this screw. Always turn the blade in the same direction as the cut while adjusting.

Hello The fan blade has come loose.You need an small adlustable wrench or sometimes it takes an hex allen key.On the fan blade hub (center) is a hole (takes allen key) or square screw.Loosen that and lift/pull up the blades.Lock down the screw so it won't move.Chech the entire hub sometimes there is 2 screws.

I assume you want to know how to get it adjusted just right, not how to move the outfeed table up and down. The easiest way I have found is to lay a metal ruler on edge on the outfeed table so that it extends over the blades. Slowly turn the blade forward by hand while you lower the outfeed table. Do that until the blade snags the metal ruler. Then raise the table until the blades just stop snagging the straight-edge.

Your scroll saw should have come with Hex end tools to use when changing out the blade. You must release the tension on the blade (located on top of arm above blade). There is a small allen head screw which has to be loosened with an allen wrench to release the blade. There is also an allen head screw under the working surface which will have to be loosened to remove blade at the bottom. Replace blade at the bottom 1st, tighten up then go to the top, tighten it, then reset the tension and you're ready to saw again. Make sure to get a visual on the directions of the blade teeth before you remove it so you can replace the new one the same way. I hope this is helpful.

I can't get a hit on that number, the model must be other. But it shouldn't be too hard.
Try to find a reliable sharpening service in your area; someone who does saw blades and knives for the cabinet shops will have a source for tool steel and carbide and can make you a set of knives for your jointer. Just get tool steel. While it won't hold it's edge quite as long as carbide knives, it will take a sharper edge to begin with, and should last just fine if you don't run sand through it.
If you have the original knives, hang onto them as they most likely can be resharpened to like new condition, and steel today ain't necessarily what it used to be.
The critical factor is the height. It's usually between 5/8" and 3/4" tall. You want them to be able to rest all the way down on the adjustable pistons without sticking up more than 10-15 thousands above the cutterhead. That will give you the most resharpenings from a set. You might want to invest in a magnaset to help with setting the knives in place.

a jointer includes infeed and outfeed tables. A set of rotating blades is positioned between these two blades. A fence is set on one side of the jointer to serve as a guide. The infeed table and outfeed table are adjusted so that they are parallel, but the infeed table is slightly lower thereby exposing a small amount of the cutting blades. The woodworker then presses the lumber against the infeed table and pushes it onto the outfeed table; the rapidly spinning blades remove a small amount of material. If the wood is particularly warped, several passes on the jointer may be required.
