You have a bad relay . Replace the " white box " ( it just pushes onto the compressor ) with maybe a small wire to secure it . Take your complete model number , including the 3 numbers in front of the ones you gave , to make sure you get the correct part .

In the freezer department which is on the bottom of the fridge it would appear that water is forming on the base of the freezer and then turns to as sheet of ice. Any ideas as to what the problem is.

There is a drain hole and tube that goes from the upper center of your freezer, down the back of your freezer to a pan on unit floor. This drain will freeze up occasionally and send the water to your freezer floor, where the water freezes. Unplug your unit, pull out your unit from the wall, remove the rear cover plate / cardboard, you will see the drain and pan at bottom of unit. Now you need to find a way to remove ice in tube. You may only be able to go from bottom up. Try warm water from top if possible. Try a cloths hanger type rod to break the ice from the bottom. The final suggestion is to thaw out the freezer. I hope this helps you. Good Luck Friend.

How to fix a leak inside a refrigerator

Turn off the refrigerator. Remove the rear panel and floor cover from the freezer. You will see a lot of ice covering everything. Remove/thaw this ice.

In the back of the freezer, under the coils is a drain. When the defroster runs and melts the ice on the coils, the water is supposed to run down the drain to a pan where it is evaporated by a fan under the refrigerator. Often, this drain freezes shut. Then, the water has no place to go but though the vent into the refrigerator.

Melt the ice in this drain with a hair dryer or small quantities of hot water. You will know the drain is clear when the water level suddenly drops. Finish drying everything in the freezer and replace the panels.

Now, you will no longer have water dripping inside your refrigerator.

My drip pan under the frig over flows with water then on to my floor. both fans work. Air flow from freezer to frig and back seams good. Tube going to drip pan is clean. Seals looks good and clean. MOD...

I had a similar problem with my Whirlpool model 6ED25DQFW side by side refrigerator/freezer with ice maker/water dispenser. Water was slowly pooling under the refrigerator under the freezer section. The defrost drain pipe was not blocked, the condenser fan was running, the drip pan was not leaking.
The source of the leak was found to be the icemaker solenoid block plastic body which had a pinhole leak.
To fix requires either plastic welding, or replacement of the solenoid block plastic body.
To access the solenoid block firstly requires removal of the cardboard cover, located at the lower rear of the refrigerator.

Refrigerator in center between refrig. and freezer is very hot

most likely problem is a failed condenser fan motor. pull your refrig away from the wall and then remove rear cardboard cover. you will see a fan motor that cools the compressor and condenser coils. heck to see if the fan is jammed with insulation or other objects. if the motor needs to be replaced you can place a portable house fan blowing int the rear to keep components cool until unit is repaired. thanks peyton

Kenmore Refrig Model # 75922400 top Freezer. Freezer is freezing really good but frig is around 46 - 48 degrees at coldest setting. We discovered ice on vents in freezer and thawed them out with hair...

Sounds like a defrost failure.
Look on the back wall of the freezer from the inside.
If it is covered in ice your defrost system has failed.
Also check the fan motor in the freezer.
If it is not running it must be replaced.

Kenmore fridge, 7 yrs old, freezer on top. Water sprays periodically from somewhere at top inside of refrigerator, apparently from downward pointing chute or holes on either side. This seems to be part of...

Removed inside rear and floor panels of freezer (ice machine also) as ably advised by your tech. Found ice damming he suspected underneath floor panel. Thawed overnight with pot of hot water in freezer. could see that small rear drain tube was iced shut; why all water going into fridge below. Avoided floor mess from thawing water flow to evaporation pan on floor by tilting unit forward on blocks and laying several old towels inside freezer door to catch water that would run out. Also placed some in front at base of unit on kitchen floor. Continuing to thaw pipe to unclog, it is iced some way down, again as tech said it might. Will reassemble and be careful with freezer setting, in case it may have been too cold. Also, some food crumbs had found their way behind panel near this drain tube and may have fallen in to block it. Will clean out any remaining.
