YOU MAY HAVE A BREAKER PROBLEM. FLIP THE BREAKER BACK AND FORTH RAPIDLY. SECOND AND MOST COMMON THE WHITE THERMAL FUSE WITH BLUE WIRES TO IT HAS BROKE. LOCATED BEHIND THE LOWER FRONT PANEL. UNPLUG DRYER, REMOVE LINT FILTER, REMOVE LOWER PANEL, REMOVE THE LOWER DUCT ASSY. THIS IS THE PIECE THAT THE LINT FILTER GOES INTO. BEHIND THE DUCT IS THE WHITE THERMAL FUSE.
THEN PROCEED TO THERMAL FUSE
DO YOU HAVE A MULTIMETER?
AS IN THE MOTOR STILL DOES NOT START? WAS THERE ANY MONEY INIDE THE DRYER? I HAVE SEEN A PENNY HIT THE THERMAL FUSE AND SHORT OUT THE BOARD BEFORE. WAS THERE ANY ARCING ON THE WIRE CONNECTOR TO THE THERMAL FUSE? SO 120 VOLTS AC GOES FROM THE BOARD TO THERMAL FUSE TO THE BROKEN BELT SWITCH TO THE MOTOR AND THEN IT STARTS. GET ACCES TO THE THERMAL USE. TURN ON DRYER AND HIT START. SO WITH A METER SET ON AC VOLTAGE FOR 120 VOLTS CHECK WITH ONE LEAD ON AN UNPAINTED METAL SURFACE OF THE DRYER. AND THE OTHER LEAD CHECK THE LIGHT BLUE WIRES ON THE THERMAL FUSE. CHECK BOTH SIDES JUST TO MAKE SURE. YOU SHOULD HAVE 120 VOLTS AC APPOX. IF YOU DONOT THEN IT IS THE BOARD. IF YOU DO THEN THE PROBLEM IS THE BROKEN BELT SWITCH, OR BELT AND LAST MOTOR. ******NEVER RUN THE HEAT CYCLE WITH THAT LOWER DUCT ASSY OFF.******SO PUT IT ON AIR DRY
THE BOARD CANNOT TELL IF THE LIGHT BLUE WIRE HAS 120 VOLTS GOING TO THE MOTOR. DID YOU GET A METER? BEFOR YOU TAKE THE DRYER APART. UN PLUG. TAKE THE TOP OFF. FIND THE BOARD ON THE SIDE UNDER THE SHEET METAL. DISCONNECT CONNECTOR AT P1 ON THE BOARD. THIS CONNECTOR HAS WIRES BLUE, WHITE, LIGHT BLUE AND GREY. WHITH THE METER TAKE AN AUDIBLE CONTINUITY READING. BETWEEN THE LIGHT BLUE & BLUE ON THAT CONNECTOR. I WILL WAIT FOR THE RESPONSE FROM TO PROCEDE.

No I unfortunately can not
No unfortunately, I can not
I don't have a multimeter but am not opposed to buying one if necessary. I replaced the thermal fuse this afternoon, and unfortunately, there was no further progress.
There was a lot of lint inside the machine. I cleaned it all out but still no luck. The dryer powers up and I can make all my selections but when I push the start button it simply indicates sensing and proceeds no further. Any other thoughts???
Thanks for the help. I will run out and pick up a multimeter tomorrow. Its funny that you mention the coin thing. I actually retrieved a few dollars in total of various quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies
I completed the "diagnostic test" this morning and the display flashed 88. To my understanding this indicates that there is no electrical problems. Is it safe to assume then that is is a belt issue and I should open the top of the dryer to gain access to the belt?
Hello,
I did complete a continuity test, and I am getting no reading whatsoever. The orde of my wires on my machine are green, white, blue light blue, and black. I checked the continuity between the 2 blues with no reading present.
thanks for your help
When you start your dryer can you hear the motor running?
