You say the motor in the freezer, you mean the fan motor? If the
refrigerator part is cold (normal temps about 37F) then you likely are
not getting air circulation. The fan motors burn out often, just check
for 120 volts AC on the fan motor terminals with a multimeter, if you
have power, it's a dead motor.
Sorry for the delay, military reserve duties sort of thing. Glad you got it fixed up though!Sorry for the delay, military reserve duties sort of thing. Glad you got it fixed up though!

Try spinning the evaporator fan motor with your fingers. If the freezer door was left closd it may have rusted on its shaft and be stuck. We need to test the voltage going to fan if oiling its bearing and spinning byhand does not get it moving. Click Here for a service manual=> HERE and here=> GE Artica Test Sheet The fan motor or a relay on the motherboad may also be defective. You should get 12-13 volts DC at the fan motor, Thanks Sea Breeze
Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing thencheck out the last two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...
Check out these tips that I wrote about that... it is a great place to starttrouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then callinga repair person to do a simple thing for you...
check the evaporator fan; listen to see if it is running check the baffles between the freezer and, the refrigerator box for air flow. Check the control knob to see if it is turning the cold control shaft. If these are not the problem: replace the cold control
use a thermometer make sure freezer is normal operating temp if freezer is cold enough and water is filling ice maker you may have bad ice maker very simple system make sure your getting water 1st thing to check is for water if you have water and freezer is cold youll have ice
Is the thermostat knob turned to the proper setting? If not, reset it.
Next, see if the compressor motor is running
The compressor is a football-sized case with no apparent moving parts. It's on the outside of the refrigerator at the back near the bottom. If it is humming or making a continuous noise and your refrigerator is still not cooling, there may be a more serious problem with one or more of several different components, we recommend contacting a qualified appliance repair technician for further help.
If the compressor is not running but you do have power to the refrigerator, there may be a problem with one or more of these:
replace control board on back of unit there is a six by 10 inch cover on back your panel is in there cost aprox 169.00 dollers also replace bo0th thermisters bottem left of freezer looks like a white bullet the other is in fridge behind shelf trim located beside and underneath where the cold air blows into the fridge.
The Profile and Artica are good refrigerators. the problem may be the defrost element, defrost thermostat or the mother board. Let me know if you want help on this one. Thanks Sea Breeze
Check the back wall of the freezer for a ice buildup.
If ice is there you have a defrost parts issue.
That will cause the temps you report.
Also, check the freezer fan motor.
Is it running?
Also check the condenser fan motor at the compressor. Is it running?
Thanks for the info but a month later dont help much, replaced fan motor and board, no power from board to motor, replaced both to be safe. Also the fan motor is dc volts not ac.
