Not sure of your model but the larger LG front loaders have 2 pumps, 1 for drain and other to pump water up over the clothes through a fitting in the top of the door rubber seal. If something is stuck in the pump or the pump has failed the clothes wont get wet.

How do I get excess soap out of my washer so that it will drain?

Take the hose from the back of the washer and find something to drain the excess water in. Be careful, the water comes out fast so, let the hose release some of the water and then quickly raise the hose so it does not get water everywhere. Do this until there is no water in the machine.
Then try using it again.

Why do you have to use H.E. detergent in front load washers?

not as much suds as regular detergent and double the strenth, front load washers use less water than top loaders,if you use to much detergent the machine will keep filling and draining to try to get the suds out.also you should only be using 1/4 cup of H.E. detergent or you can damage the spider gear in the washer, you'll know if it breaks you'll hear the tub banging all around loudly when it's in final spin, the spider gear is made out of soft metal and the extra detergent eats at the metal

Wrong dishwashing liquid used created out of control suds won't finish cycle. cleaned away suds towel and wet vac but foes not work

HI- Ah yes, the suds. Your flood switch has probably been tripped. Unplug the machine or flip the breaker. Remove the lower kick panel and you'll see the white plastic bottom of the dishwasher pan. This is designed to catch the water (or suds) if there is a leak or the water (or suds) over fill it. This will take awhile but get some pliable rag and carefully put it in the space between the bottom of the dishwasher and the pan. There is a styrofoam float on the left side about halfway back, this has to be down for the dishwasher to advance the cycle and get out of drain mode. Just keep soaking the water up (you kinda have to go over the plastic lip of the pan and down wherever there is an opening large enough to get the rag into. Once it is pretty dry it should run ok. Regarding the suds. If you get the machine to run ok then start a rinse cycle and once the water is done filling open the door and add about 4 tablespoons of any cooking oil to the water. Shut the door and let the machine run for about 10 seconds, open the door check to see if there are still a lot of suds, if so cancel the cycle to drain the machine and repeat. Hope this helps, good luck.

Massive amount of suds coming out under the door.

Someone put the wrong detergent in this machine causing the suds problem. Manually fill the machine with COLD water. Set it to pump out. Refill with COLD water and pump out again. You may have to do this several times to clear the suds lock condition.
Use only COLD water as HOT water will cause more suds.

Leaking soap dispenser

There should not be suds up that high in the washer. You are experiencing a over sudsing condition and spin is throwing up throw the fill line in the dispenser. Run some fabric softener in a load with no clothes to clean out any hidden suds. Then use only HE (High efficiency) detergent and half of what they recommend! The softer the water the less the soap you use. Sounds like you may be using non HE detergent. My guess if the machine is fine.

Will not fill

sure, might be as somple as your using hte wrong soap. you MUST use an HE detergent. regular detergent creates too much suds for these smachines and result in the control panel displaying "sud", or innadequate drain issues. if you are using hte correct soap then next thing to check would be the pump hosing for debris blocking pump assy.Humming sound" sounds like a pump thats trying to work but cant get past your debris
1. remove the lower acess panel with (3) torx 20 screws
2. the pump is located right in front you see ascrew type handle on fron of housing
3. unscrew the handle and clean debris from housing nad return the cover. check for spin now
4. if water remains in the tub after drain/spin, ther will be water in hte machine, so try tipping machine back, using hose pinch off pliers, or what i do is open a white trash bag in front of pump assy, so when i open the bag catched it all

Not enough water

run the machine empty. if the water comes to the bottom of the glass window, you're fine. No you don't need to see the soap suds either, too musch soap will cause the machine not to function properly and won't spin out all the water
