Sounds like you do have a clogged drain tube, its self defrosting but the defrost water is pooling under hte crispers instead of in the drain pan under unit.so you ll either have to remove hte rear panel of freezer and locate the drain trough/ tube, and defrost it allowing for water to drain down, o rclear all the tube leading down to the drain pan.

There is water collecting in my ge/sears refrigerator model 3639731517 under the veggie bins and I can't find the drain hole behind the freezeer wall any ideas where it is located?

The drain in the freezer behind back lower panel
needs opening. You can see it at the bottom of the back panel
underneath the evaporator coils. (The cold coils)
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
When the defrost melts the water it goes down the drain
If the drain is clogged with Ice or ? The defrost water
overflows into the ref. or freezer or on floor
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

Ge model number tbx21jaxerww. Water collecting under vegetable bins

Hi,
The water building under the veggie bins problem is usually a result of the drain under the evaporator coils being clogged with either ice or debris.
The get to the drain, the shelves and sometimes the bins will need to be removed, then the back panel will need to be removed. There usually are a few screws on each side that hold the panel in place...
Then look for the drain right under the coil....if possible run a wire down the hole to make sure it is open to the pan underneath.
If it is frozen then a wire can be used to keep the drain open...here is a tip about how to do that...

Water is leaking in my fridge, a puddle of water accumulates under veggie bins. Can I fix this problem? If so how? or do I need to hire a professional?

if you want to attempt fixing, remove back freezer panel, use hair dryer to melt ice in drain pan under coils, pour hot water in pan till drain clears.

Water is collecting in veggie bins in

I can solve your problem for you.

Self-defrosting refrigerators dispose of the water generated during the defrost cycle, usually via a tube or channel that directs the water to a pan at the bottom of the refrigerator. From the pan, the water normally evaporates. (See a more detailed explanation of this in the How Things Work section of our website).

If the tube or channel is clogged or obstructed, the water backs up and leaks into the inside of the refrigerator compartment. Then the water builds up at the bottom, inside of the refrigerator. When the water has built up for a time it may spill out of the front of the door opening. To fix this problem, clear the drain tube or channel and allow the defrost water to flow down to the drain pan.

Water leaking along back interior to bottom under & over veggie bins

Sounds like the drain to the drip pan is clogged -- maybe with ice.

Defrost water runs down to a drain in the bottom of the fridge and into a pan underneath where it evaporates.

Sounds like the defrost water is not reaching its final destination.

Here's the way the same problem was solved earlier today:

For those who have this problem with this model: The drip pan is in an open space on the back side of the refrigerator. There is a rubber spout that empties into it. But to clear clogs...you must take out the shelves from the freezer, unscrew and remove the back panel on the inside of the freezer. There you will see the water exit. Boiling water cleared it out.

Water under veggie bin in fridg. model frigidaire F44Q21RJ,

possibility's:

1 There is a drain that carries away the water under the cooling coils. These coils are in the freezer section.

2 The damper going to the crisper( s) is open too far allowing cold air to cause condensate on the fridge wall or bottom.

3 The freezer section is not defrosting and there is a spot where the ice buildup is allowing conductive cooling into the refrigerator section and therefore is allowing condensation on the refrigerator wall or ceiling.

4 The refg section has a heater (possibly not positive) in the area of the door frame, or it may have a "power saver" switch. This switch and the heater (if it has a heater it may not have a switch) are designed to stop condensation on the refridg while running. I fit is placed in the "power save" mode it turns off the heater. But, if you live in extream humidity (Great lakes east side or Gulf coats Houstion...) the humid air will condensate water out and it will collect and settle on the floor.

5 Door gaskets are not sealing especially on the bottom of the door. This allows warmer air into the fridge section and it is condensation on floor under the crisper.

If you check all of these items and still cant find it please post back and tell me what you did find. So I can help you more. Please rate me as much as possible as Im trying to keep my average up and do the things that will actually educate and help people.

THANK you for using fixya and good luck..

9 yr.old GE profile top/bottom refrigerator

There could be many things that cause these symptons. Defrost timer not working, bad door seals, or lack of freon. It may be less expensive to replace the frige than repair it.
