The mower wont engage in gear

Make sure the transaxle disengagement lever is not in the neutral position. On most lawn tractors, this lever is a stiff wire -- sometimes with a loop on the end -- that sticks out of a slot above and to the right of the trailer hitch bracket on the rear panel, below the seat. Most tractors move under their own power when the wire is all the way in, and can be rolled around without the engine running when the wire is pulled out.

unhook clutch and see if blades stop turnig and then try engage clutch with the switch if motor stays running bad clutch

did you break the deck belt?did you over load the electric clutch and blow the fuse?

The tractor has a variable speed pulley for the 1-6 gears. You will want to check the top pulley on the shaft that is in the center of your tractor between the engine and transaxle. you may have broke the spring or adjuster.

Often there is a keeper on the back of the pulley, and the belt must go inside the keeper. Get an inspection mirror up in there to look if necessary. Start by putting the belt on the transaxle pulley, then on the PTO pulley, then on the idler, last have someone sit on the mower and depress the clutch pedal while you put the belt over that pulley.

the safty swich is getting hot & wont alow it to engage again untill cool
