I'm getting error codes when starting the wash. It gives F1 and stops the wash, stopping and restarting several times will usually work.
Diagnostics then show F68 and F41 codes.
The best I have found online is that it may need a new control unit - electronic control. I've ordered one, but I can't find a way to open the washer. Any ideas?
I just finished installing my new control unit for my Kenmore Oasis and my F1 problems are GONE! I ordered it from Sears Direct Parts. With shipping and taxes it came out to about $174 for the part, but our issues are gone and now we can wash a load of clothes without having to reset it several times.

Three long screws behind the control unit "hood", in back of the washer. Lifted up the hood, and there was a black box - the electronic control. Unplugged all the wires, took the electronic control out by unscrewing one 1/4" bolt. Put the new one in and re-wired everything (it shows what wires go where on the electronic control box). No more error codes!
The electronic control was $146 + S/H.
I have Kenmore Oasis washer. Right after you push start button, it showed F1. After several time stop and start cycle, it started working. But usually will stop again, when wash cycle reach to "rinse', IT STOPPED again, and showed F1. I have to skip rinse to spin and drain, then it can finish the cycle.
What's problem and how can I fix it.
Where did you order the control board?
