I have a GE Dryer Profile Harmony. It is several years old. The dryer is not blowing air out the back ventilation so not drying. It is making a quiet odd sound as well. When I troubleshooted I shut the power off, disconnected the sensor cord between the washer and dryer, turned circuit breaker back on, reconnected the sensor. It ran blowing heat for 5 minutes, then the air stopped blowing again.

You vent is plugged very bad. Disconnect the vent tubing and thoroughly clean it out. It will heat and dry like new afterwards guaranteed. These dryers have sensors that shut the burner off if the exhaust is not venting properly. Once its cleared out it will run perfectly again

DescrI have a GE profile harmony electric dryer model #dpgt750ec1pl. About 5 minutes into a drying cycle the blower shuts down. There is still heat but no air coming out of the dryer duct. Any suggestions?...

you should not have heat when motor stops there is a switch in the motor to shut the element off....yours is not working(you could burn your house)replace the motor.

JuST GOT DRYER TODAY...DOESN'T DRY CLOTHES

Dryer vent is restricted. Look behind dryer to make sure there is no flex duct squished, preventing air flow. Try to avoid flex duct, use as few turns in vent as possible, and keep vent as short as possible. Vent may need cleaning also. This dryer is very good, as it uses an independent variable speed blower motor to help compensate for long and or restricted vents.
