I have a new G31-M7-TE version 6.7 Biostar MB. When I try to install XP it always errors out at some point where it is initializing the drivers so it never install XP. I have an erlier version of this board I had no problems installing xp in this same PC. I put that MB in wifes PC and installed the newer version on my PC. I even made a sidestream xp copy with sp3 but that made no difference. I guess need to return MB to Tiger Direct. Any Ideas

I'll bet the problem lies with the hard disk drive. Suggest you download the manufacture's hdd setup software. Example, for a Seagate and Maxtor drive download; SeaTools for DOS. Here is the link; http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/seatools
Every manufacture has their own setup software that runs in a DOS like environment. Download either the bootable floppy disk software or bootable CD software. Run the software on you're drive and than install windows. Windows XP should install with out a hitch and load.

Cheers'
Mike

Hi, you can download the driver here:

Its not for windows 7 but it will probably run on your system.

X86 is for 32 bit and X64 is for 64 bit system.

Try the xp or vista driver.

Hope this will help you.

I got problem to input sound on g31 motherboared, please guide me how can i input sound in g31 motherboard>

The G31-M7 TE MB has a intergrated sound chip.
Enter the bios. Open Chipset. Open South Bridge configuration. Find Audio controller. This should be set to [Azalia] Save and exit the bios.
Next check JAUDIOF1: found on page 14. If you are not going to use the cases front audio and mic than there should be a two pin jumper covering pins
5 & 6 and pins 9 & 10. If you're case supports front audio / mic ports, (You can not use the front audio ports and the rear audio ports at the same). time). Once everything above is set, got to Biostar and download the audio driver software;
http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/driver.php?S_ID=363
If you still have a problem with you're sound. Explain any actions you have taken.

Good luck!

The operating systems usually load some of the drivers for the motherboard to get it up and running initially, once the os is installed you can just update the drivers on the internet.
