My receiver turns on for a second and turns off with the power button blinking red. I checked to see if any wires were touching, but thats not the case. It is extremely frustrating especially with having all my components hooked up to it. I hope you can help me. Thank you.

have you got all the wires wired in correctly.have you extended your speaker cables and not insulated them(wires could be touching each other).maybe a blown fuse inside.although i think if it were a fuse,it probably wouldnt light up at all.my experience with my system is that if i wire up something wrong, the power button light which is a green light, will change to red to let me know something is not right.(its warning me before i blow something up)!!yours might be doing the same thing only flickering to let you know somethings wrong. If none of this helps then you should send it in for repair.Dont be afraid to open your system and look for a glass fuse(s) about 20mm long.if you find one and its blown, then you are lucky.a blown fuse is better than a blown system
Hi,
While working it stops and flashes red approximately
2 seconds interval Causes Protection circuit is activated
depending on the temperature of the surroundings Remedy Switch off the power supply and power on
after the temperature have reduced. While working it stops and flashes red approximately
0.5 seconds interval Causes 1.Using speakers having less impedance
than the specified. 2.If speaker core wire touch each other Protection
circuit is activated Even applying power red flashes 0.5
seconds interval Cause Amplifier circuit has failed Remedy Switch off the power and contact denon

You will have to check with a volt/ohm meter the + and - 15volt regulator ics in the power supply if they are off by more then 3 volts it will shut down as soon as it is turned on,and you still will have a flashing red light. also you may want to check the output transistors for shorts if your regulator ics are good.
Your receiver is going into protection. The first thing to do is disconnect all speakers at the receiver. Unplug the power cord, then let it set for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and power it on. If it stays on, you have either a wire shorting out at the back of the receiver, something that has pierced the speaker wire en-route to the speaker, a wire touching the other at the speaker or a blown speaker.
Speaker wires should only be trimmed about 1/2" bare at the terminal and make sure you twist the braid so it does not fray. Then connect speakers one at a time, testing the receiver power each time until it either shorts and cuts out, or, you have solved the problem. Hope this helps. Read the manual. You've either got crossed speaker wires, it's overheating, or it's a more serious problem. The same just started happening to mine, so I'm taking it in.
