I think I've pressed something whilst mixing on my Acid Pro 7 program, and now theres no sound at all. The tracks aren't muted but there's just nothing coming out. I can hear everything else though e.g. youtube, iTunes. And I can even hear other projects I've mixed in Acid Pro as well. Can anyone help???

Uninstall the software. Reboot and re-install the program. During the re-install if prompted to discard all setups press yes. Try to have a clean re-install.

You can use the Task Manager in Windows to view computer resources and memory usage if you suspect something dealing with resources.

You can copy. You cannot just dump the file data. Unless you have an audio interface with multiple inputs, you can only copy 2 tracks at a time. Also, to sync the timing you'll need a midi port on the computer. Then you make the computer the "master" and the Fostex a "slave" device.

This may not be a solution... but is there is a quality vs performance setting? And the stupid questions - music can be very taxing for a computers processor and memory (RAM) - have you checked the requirements for this software? The more tracks the more power is needed - tracks that are muted or empty will also eat your capacity.... Hope this helps

have you tried pressing the record button on the first track arm to stop it recording?

point nr 1:
when you record midi, you are not recording sound but a key code and time info it was pressed. 

point nr 2:
the midi keyboard may be seen as a remote controller.

check the midi configuration on your software host

I haven't ever used this program but it sounds like you have your MIDI channel assigned to the wrong number. The default MIDI channel for drums is channel 10. Assign the track you are trying to play drums from to channel 10 in your program.

so heres what the problem is believe it or not.. your antivirus program.. especially kaspersky!!
what is happening is either the program is trying to scan as you record.. or just simply is deleting the file... either way you end up with a blank record box.. and get errors when you try to open the audio files you just recorded..

so the fix is very simple!!!

tell you anitivirus program to give full permisions to acid and not to monitor acids activity
