Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.

NO ICE, WATER LINE OK,RED LITE FLASHING NEXT TO ON /OFF SWITCH

The Model & Serial #'s would help me refine your answer.
I will assume you have either Whirlpool, Kitchenaid or
Sears Kenmore. The blinking red light should be binking as
a pattern of 2 blinks followed by a pause. then Repeats.
Lift the trap door and look at the icemaker, the 8 little fingers should
be parked at upright and slightly leaning forward towards you.
Carefully check to see if you have ice inside the mold behind and
below the fingers. If you feel a curved surface there's no ice..
Next precisely measure 5 ounces of water and carefully place
the water into the mold. Any where behind any finger.
Wait a couple hours and check if cube have ejected out into your
emptied bin...If after several hours and NO ice, most likely the icemaker has gone Kaput! Order and replace it. For detailed video go to YouTube and watch how to remove the icemaker.
Search using the words: Whirlpool In-Door Ice Maker Replacement.
Watch the video before attempting removal..Tricky.

Ice maker will not make ice. Red light blinks

I have a kitchenaid with the same problem. Red light blinks twice when open is normal. Hold the flap down and the red light will be on.= normal= optics are working. If the ice rakes rotate, module is probably fine. Check the simplest solutions first, defrost the freezer in case the icemaker water nozzel might be frozen. That solved my problem. I then increased my freezer temp by a couple of degrees and so far, no problems.
Good luck.

Ice maker stopped working

The laser , is supposed to blink . This laser , tells the icemaker to stop making ice , when the bin is full . Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the icemaker . If it doesn't dump the cubes into the bin , the icemaker is bad . Or , if there is ice in the bin , which hasn't dumped , the icemaker is bad . If the icemaker dumps the ice ( from water pour ) , then look above the fill cup , and see if the black fill tube is frozen . If so , then replace the water valve and turn the freezer temp down slightly . It will take several days for this fill line inside freezer to thaw . If icemaker dumps , and black tube NOT frozen , replace the water valve . The valve , is where the wall water line connects to on the refrig .

Ice maker not producing any ice.

Pour about 1/2 cup of water into icemaker . Squeeze the black fill tub which is above the icemaker cup . If ice apears to be in it , this indicates that the weter valve is not completely closing , letting a drip ocasionally go thru and freezing inside the tube , ( water valve bad ) . that will be a different solution . If the icemaker dumps the cubes after freezing . and black tube is not frozen , replace the water inlet valve . If the icemaker does not dump the ice after frozen , replace the icemaker ( only 1 screw holds the icemaker in , located on rear portion on right , faceing down . Also check the icemaker rake , which should be about the 2:30 position . To thaw out the black tube (which runs thru the top of the refrig ) a 1/4 push on connector will be needed . Remove the icemaker and use a hairdryer aimed up into the hole . Cut the tubing to the fill tub behind the fridge about 9 inches from where it enters the top of the fridge . This will let warm air inside the top fill line to help thaw . Ocassionally blow thru the 9 inch tube until you can blow thru it . May take a day or 2 , depending how frozen the line is . Once air will go thru , install the push on connector to couple the cut lines back togather .

The blinking red light on the right side , is the receiver for the electric eye for cutting off the icemaker when the door bin is full , This blinking is normal . 2 blinks ...pause...2 blinks..etc .

Do not replace the filter if water flow is good thru the dispensor .

Red light blinking inside freezer compartment of Kenmor Elite, model 106 52603100. Ice maker has quit working. Is this blinking light a code?

The light may be telling you that the temperature is not cold enough to operate the icemaker.
You may have a bad defrost timer, heater or thermostat. If you have an ice bucket then it may ot be seated properly.
