LG Frig LFC23760ST 3 Door French Refrigerator : The fridge lost power over night and the technician that came out today has told us that the circuit board is bad. I looked at the board and the both the fuses on the board do not appear to be blown. The technician told my wife that the fuse is blown, but having looked at both fuses, I cant see how that is possible.
Are there any other trouble shooting ideas for getting power back to the refrigerator?
Little late, but the same thing happened to me. With a continuity tester you should be able to check to see if the fuse is good/bad, but make sure there is no power going to the board. Mine went bad but since the fuses are integral to the board, the entire board was bad. $20 later after a visit to RadioShak, I was able to remove the fuse, and install a fuse holder in its place. Never soldered on a printed circuit board before, but thought it worth a shot since the board is $200! I say try and trouble shoot it yourself. It worked out well for me.
You can check voltage from the wall, then you can check voltage on the main control board, if its getting power, it will most likely be the main control board. This is common, as these are the brains of the unit. I've replaced these several times, for this same problem, of loosing power. I know you want to find and solution, and I know these boards are expensive, but it will most likely be your problem.
