Stopped. Black and Decker Lawn Hog 18-Inch Electric Lawn mowe

I have a Black and Decker Lawn Hog 18-Inch Electric Lawn mower.
It was working great and I used it once a month for around 3 years. All of a sudden it stopped.
The power cord etc works fine but the mower will not start.
Is there a fuse or anything that I can change to fix it ?
Any help will be appreciated. Is throwing it away the only option I have ?

You could check the brush connection on the motor or your switch mat not be making contact

Take off the black plastic hood (4 screws), clean debris and check connections to, and condition of, shunted brushes. They're available from B&D parts for a few bucks.
