The oil pan is on the bottom of the transmission on your Dyna Wide Glide. To change the gasket start by draining the engine oil and transmission lubricant by removing both plugs on the bottom. Once drained, disconnect the hoses going to the oil pan. Remove oil fill cap, remove two screws and remove the oil spout, pull up on the dip stick cover to remove it. Now, remove the allen head bolts and remove the oil pan. Replace gasket and all bolts. Torque all bolts to 7-9 foot pounds. Refill with oil. Transmission take 20-24 ounces of transmission lube and the oil tank takes 2 quarts 14 ounces of oil if you did not replace the oil filter. Since the oil filter is still full of oil, if you put the full three quarts of oil in the tank, the oil cap will blow off when the oil gets hot as it's overfilled. Good luck

On the left rear side of the oil pan near where the kickstand would rest in the up position. The transmission drain plug is on the right side of the pan on the underside of the pan.

How do i change oil pan on the motorcycle i have a hole in it

As far as I know, you simply take the bolts out and replace it with a new pan and gasket. Not trying to be "smart" or anything but you didn't tell me what make, year, or model bike you are working on. On my H-D Dyna Wide Glide, which has the oil pan on the bottom of the transmission, that's the way it's done.

I want to change the oil and filter. Where is the

The oil pan on the Wide Glide is on the bottom of the transmission. There are two drains of the bottom of the oil pan. The drain in the center is the transmission drain plug. The drain at the left front corner is the engine oil drain. Drain the oil with the bike on the side stand. Refill with the three quarts of oil if you change the filter. Two quarts, 14 ounces if you don't change the filter. Start the engine and allow it to run for about two or three minutes. Check the oil level with the bike on the side stand. The dipstick has two marks one mark is "Full Cold", the other "Full Hot". Top the oil level off to the "Full Cold" mark.

How to change oil in 2003 HD FXD Dyna Super Glide

remove the drain plug from the oil pan, you will need either a 3/4" box wrench or a 5/8" box wrench and the drain plug will be facing forward on the the oil pan. It is easiest to remove this drain plug from under the right side of the bike. put drain plug back in after about 10 m,inutes of drain time and tighten to 18 ft. lbs. Dont forget to change the oil filter as well.

03 HD dyna wide glide blows oil from breather (K & N)... Lots of oil. 20-50 oil, clean filter. Any help?

How many miles do you have? You probably need to have your oil pump alligned. They get out of wack and cause over oiling. I believe it caused by not being able to return oil efficiently. An evo tappet block alignment tool is now used to align the TC internal oil pump.
