We have a ~5 year-old Bosch Axxis WFL 2060 front loader. 3 days ago it made a shrill sound as it finished a final spin cycle. It has not worked since. The machine will take water and drain water. When a wash cycle is selected, it takes water; stops and then "clicks". The clicking is normal but the drum does not turn. The belt is intact and sufficiently tight. The motor remains silent and does not turn either. Shortly after the final load, the motor felt quite warm to the touch. I allowed it to cool off and tried again with no success. I suspected the motor has had it. It does not seem too difficult to replace - a couple of bolts and attach a connector. I do not want to spend the money on a new motor when it may be a relay or (even worse) an integrated circuit board. Does anyone know how I can troubleshoot this problem to nail it down to the faulty component? Thanks in advance.
I took off the back panel. Only to find that the belt was not broken. Any ideas of what to check next? :(I took off the back panel. Only to find that the belt was not broken. Any ideas of what to check next? :(
check that the boot gasket is not binding on the agitator drum? I had an issue recently where the spin cycle went out of of balance and shut down since there was only a large bath mat spinning. I tried to run a spin cycle again but it labored then there was smoke, turns out the door gasket( boot gasket) got hung up in the agitator. I took out the gasket and it spins, drains just fine. I put the gasket back but it still hangs up. there isn't any allowable movement between where the gasket sets into the outside drum and agitator drum , perhaps the gasket got distorted somehow ? I'll try a replacement.check that the boot gasket is not binding on the agitator drum? Since you say relay sounds are heard, it shows the command is OK. The power to the motor is not reaching. It could be relay contact problem.
If you have a option of only spin, try this option. If it works the motor is OK. Otherwise you have to trace the power line and test it through a electrical line tester.
You can check the drain or the filter. You will have to pull it out of
the space it is now to access it. Items will get stuck in the drain
clogging it.
Hi. Check the doorseal by lifting the folded lip which faces toward the drum opening. Use a torch and carefully examine the doorseal. It may have a small hole which is hard to see at first.
If door seal is ok remove top of machine and check inlet valve. Turn power off and with your hand examine the inlet water valve. If it feels damp on the solenoid then it leaks from there and finds its way around to the front of the machine though the frame work. This leak happens due to to much water pressure at your laundry taps. If so install a pressure reducing valve before the water inlet hose and replace the water inlet valve in the machine as it is now faulty.

Get the pennies or dimes out of the accordian style black hose at the bottom of the washer. You will need to lay the washer against something so you can get in from underneath. Take a plyers and squeeze the medal clamp so the hose can slip off. I found 3 dimes that acted like washers. The machine will drain.
