Question about As Seen On TV Magic Bullet Food Processor
Had the same problem - it wouldn't press down. The little white plastic things inside of the base that go up and down when the cup is pushed down, were stuck. I think that something leaked into them so they wouldn't slide easily. I wiped out the inside of the base with a damp cloth and then I put a drop or two of WD40 at the top of the white plastic pieces and rubbed it up and down the length of all 3 of the white plastic pieces (this being done with the base lying on its side so the WD40 doesn't drip down into the mechanism). Then, with base upright, I used a screwdriver to try to manually push the white plastic pieces down. It worked. Of course before doing any of this - be sure the thing is unplugged (duh!).

What I did was I got a screwdriver and manually pushed the white tabs down and it worked! they loosened up and I could use the nutribullet. I thought this was the easiest solution.

The reason it gets sticky is because the lid of the cup was not fully tightened and leaked fluid down into the switch mechanism which then dried and caused the white plastic sliders to stick. The quick fix is to lay the base on it's side and using a cloth saturated in hot water to saturate the sliders and its track to loosen the gunk that is making it sticky, while it is wet use a quick spray of WD40 to lube the slider, the WD40 will displace the water leaving a lubricating film. After my warranty expires I will disassemble the base and clean and lube it'

I tried a few of many of the helpful suggestions, so I go and retrieve my Nutri Bullet out of the trash b/c I was fed up with trying to get my cup off that has been stuck for 3 days. First after bringing it back inside, it was in a grocery store bag so it wasn't ucky...I laid it on my heating vent on the floor and left it there for abt 30-40 mins. The cup came off with ease, so I proceeded to clean and unstick all the areas I could, I found a plastic tip from one of my cups wedged in one of the white rubber thingy's...I removed it...oiled the 3 white thingy's and cleaned with a hot dish towel..prepped my cup...put it back to the unit...pressed down on every side and the blasted thing still didn't work. So I'm thinking my Nutri Bullet has made its last smoothie and back to the trash it goes. Thank you for all the suggestions b/c I did get my cup unstuck. I feel better that I didn't give up without giving a good try.

I got a fork and held the little white things down and used a srewdriver to push the little broken bits of cup out. It works again now.
I have brought a cheap drink bottle blender as a back up, just in case it doesn't last.
