Vizio speakers make a buzzing noise

Our Vizio speakers make noise the entire time the t.v. is on. What can we do to fix this problem?

VIZIO VX37L backgroud buzzing noise constatly (audio) increasing as volumne increasing. My knowlege is limited but tried looking at audo conttol setting,(nothing in which I could relate) also I found under advance picture adjustment DNS (noise reduction). it didn't seem to realate to aduio. If audio is fine and new speakers would cure all, I'd be a player.

Mr Soundman 7, you were right on the money. My sound is now perfect! I didn't how to change it, but I called my cable company. The first person didn't know how and set an appt for me. Last night a Brighthouse technician called and he was able to walk me through the solution. He said you nailed it & you saved me from waiting on an appt. Many Thanks

It's not the speakers. I usually hear of this problem when hooked up to an HD cable box. You can adjust the volume on the cable box and also on the TV. I'll bet you don't have this problem when watching a DVD.

If the problem is what I think it is, your HD Cable box is set at a really low volume while your TV is set to a rather high volume. Try setting the TV volume to around one-third, then set the volume on the cable box until it's as loud as you'd ever want to hear it. With the TV at such a high volume, you're actually amplifying any stray electronic signals that the wires might be picking up, and the above solution will fix that.

Good Luck.

I am a victim to this every so often. My solution, although I can't explain, is simple. I activate the menu setting on my Comcast HD box & select "restore defaults". Buzzing stops every time.

I seem to have fixed the buzzing from my Vizio, by just lowering volume on my optimum cable remote and also lowering the volume(to zero) on my insignia tv's remote. This has been working for 2 days. My problem was that the speaker was working for about a minute and then BUUUUUUZZZZZZZZZ!

Have a Vizio VX37L that when it is turned the

HERE'S THE FIX: I just went through this with my Vizio VX37L. TV is stuck in RGB input. This is the fix.... TV is stuck in RGB input.
(option 1) Power on TV, and press the INPUT button repeatedly and rapidly until you can change to a different input, such as AV.
If that doesn't work, try:
(option 2) With the TV off, press and hold the INPUT button on the side of the TV for about 5 seconds. The TV should power on and the input list will appear. The TV will no longer be locked, and the INPUT button should function properly after that.

Option 2 worked for me!
