Barcode code39 prints but code128 does not. NiceLabel5 zebra 4.6.16 drvr The label has many fields filled in from an msql file. All the fields print except for the barcode when using code128. The human readable prints but the barcode does not. However, the human readable prints faintly; not bold like the other fields. When I change the barcode to code39, it prints and it is nicely bold as does the human readable. Here are the lines from the out file for code 128 ^BY3,3,160^FT71,1074^BCN,,Y,N,N,A ^FD00100716490000019194^FS Here are the lines form the out file for code 39 ^BY2,3,160^FT61,1074^B3N,N,,Y,N ^FD00100716490000019194^FS Also, any string with a capital C stops printing before the C. SOURCE: improper printing of barcodes

recalibrate the label length in the printer(hold feed and power up). from memory bar-one uses the label settings from windows, so go into printers and faxes under control panel and correct the label size

The printer is in line mode. Do the following to take it out of line mode:
Turn printer power off.
Hold the feed button while turning printer power on.
When the light starts flashing, release the feed button.
When the light starts flashing again, press and hold the feed button.
When the light turns steady amber, release the feed button.
When the light turns steady green, the mode is changed.
Verify the mode by printing and inspecting a status report.

This requires good timing and may take several tries. You'll know it worked if no labels are reeled out after you're done.

SOURCE: Zebra TLP2844 does not print the barcode label

Turn off the printer, then hold down the feed button while you turn it on again. After the configuration label prints, turn the printer off and on again, then try to print your labels.

If the barcodes still don't print, make sure they don't extand past the top, bottom or side of the label. If you software allows you to "clear the label cache" or "re-image the enitre label", try that.

Zebra 105SE printer will print text and images just fine, but will not print bar codes from any software including Bartender or TechnoRiverStudio. If i export the label as an image I can print it just...

Bartender is a pretty good label software package - strange that you're having problems with a barcode. Are you by any chance trying to print a 2D barcode such as Datamatrix ? If that's true, then the problem is that the datamatrix barcode is not a resident barcode in the firmware version of that printer which is an older model. There should be a choice in bartender, in the properties of the barcode field that allows you to send the barcode as an image or graphic. The barcode will then print.

If you're trying to print a linear barcode (C39 or C128 or UPC for example) and it they won't print with the steps you have taken, then something is definetly wrong. Another option would be to take your label format and print-to-file instead of print-to-printer. There should be an option on the print screen for this. By then opening the file, the ZPL (Zebra's programming language) can then be examined to see exactly what is being sent to the printer.

Hope this helps !

Code 128 Barcode Problem

Hello paul blando. I think I can help you here. First, are you sure your barcodes with asterisks are Code128 like the others? Generally a Code128 barcode will look like: "(1234) 567890 (01) 123456" and wouldn't really use asterisks at all. However, I know that it is standard practice for people who make their own Code39 barcodes to start and end the code with an asterisk to denote a start/stop action. Could they be Code39? They would look like: "*123456789*". If this is the case, then I have the manual for the P370/P470 on my company's site here. Take a look at the Code39 Chapter and make sure to print and scan the pages to disable the check-digit transmittal. If that doesn't do the trick, then try the "recall defaults" or "reset to defaults" barcode to reset the scanner to it's initial defaults. That should put it on track. If you still have trouble, please feel free to send me a message or email me. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Zebra S4M Lable Printer Not Scanning

You might want to check the barcode ratio, bar width, printer speed and printer darkness. I am assuming that you are creating the barcode in some sort of label design package, correct? You either need wider bars, or make sure you have enough quiet zone on both sides of the barcode, so shrinking it might be the solution as well.

Zebra TLP 2844 Controlling the font size w/iSeries??

Hi Burgymon,

The font that is used under the barcode will use the last font properties described prior to the barcode in the output. You may want to suppress the human readable option and create a separate text field to display the text version of the barcode contents.

AS400 Spool files stuck in outq in send mode

I have WiFi Zebra QL420. In my case a simple header label prints fine then the complex label (many fields, barcode, lines & boxes) gets stuck. Labels are in separate spol files. We have many other labels printing fine, just this one ALWAYS gets stuck.
If I send same data from PC to printer it works fine.
I can see with ethernet sniffer that header label data goes but complex label doesn't even leave the iSeries. My sniffer is too crude to tell me what LPR level protocol is saying.
