It could be a loose connection where the power cord is connected to the refrigerator inside or a bad power cord. If that doesn't solve the problem you may consider calling a repair person.

If i understand you right, you ahve power at the outlet, but no power to the fridge? just checking, but its not just that its dark, its not cold either right? more than one person called me only to discover the light bulb burnt out.
but if power is ok at outlet, and im talkin the same physical outlet the fridge was plugged into, not the adjacent outlet. but nothing to fridge, likely problem is your power cord. sometimes the fridge has been sitting on it, and we pull it out, and the stress finally breaks the wiring...if you have an ohmmeter, ohn the hot and neutral terminals on the actual plug of the refrigerator cord, while its unplugged of course. Does it read an open line? bingo, if not, cant diagnose here, call for help
