You are over driving the recorder because the input level is too high. There should be a volume or gain control on the recorder to cut down on the level.
This worked for my Opus player supposed to work for all Opus players. Tip: if the Device manager asks you to update first, dont, close the dialog and Choose 'Repair' tab. Follow the instructions from there. You need to connect the player whilst holding the "+" volume key to enter the repair mode

Hi, frequencies can easily jam when the mic that your using has the same frequency response or alike response.
You can check if the sensitivity response on the receiver is alike or the same. Usually represented with numbers on the receiver. If they are alike, it is likely to fluctuate.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but those units are fixed frequencies and cannot be changed. You either have to find a mic that matches your receiver or vice-versa. The freeway 200 series comes in 3 freqs. two of witch you have with the addition of 170.245. Maybe you can find someone who has a damaged mic but still has the receiver with the freq. that you need for your mic.
Try adjusting the squelch. I'm not familiar with your unit but it's worked with others. You can also try adjusting the antenna on the receiver and even moving the receiver to other positions on stage.
