That's very nice of you to try and help your blind friend, if you can see the model number on the back of the watch itself where you took off the back, or maybe it is on the face with a watch. Then you can start a Google search from there. Honestly? If I were to call you, I would just tell you the exact same thing :-)

yes, you can replaced it at any watchmakers of your choice but you had to be sure that he is a certified watchmaker. for that other pretend but they are not.

It sounds like it could do with a clean. Most makers recommend cleaning every 2-3 years, so perhaps yours is a little overdue.

I can only suggest that you call around your area where you live and see who replaces batteries. Try your local mall....most malls have a watch repair kiosk or call a local jeweler who sells watches.

Bring it back under warranty. If it doesn't have a stainless caseback that's what will happen. Try and credit towards a better made watch.
