RE: Amana model BX21TW Bottom Freezer Referigerator My freezer is set on four, the top section of my refrigerator is set on one, yet items in the left produce drawer are frozen. This problem started about a week ago. At that time, both top and bottom were set at four, where they have been for the last 12 years. I moved the top section dial to "One" two days ago and this evening discovered the veggies I bought yesterday were frozen. What should I do next?

turn your freezer up all the way and your refrigerator down a little. this will block some of the airflow going to the refrigerator.

Youll need to check the defrost timer and element. If thes is the one with the adaptive defost board it will probably need replacing about 50.00. It is either located in front behind kick plate or in back on left, in a metal box.

if youd like you can remove the affected crisper, locate the "adjustment slidelever" and remove it, behind there youll find a hole(which is what youve been restricting to lessen the cold air flow.) try wadding up a ball of perma-gum, window sealer, some sorta plug forthe hole, its not nessecary for function of refrig, only to make the crispers colder, but usually too cold. blocking of fthe hole willl make the crispers only as cold as rest of refrig
