This is in regards to the Vector / Black & Decker Start-It jump starter, model # Vec010bd AC charger. Like others, somehow my AC adapter (for a good, slow float charge) has gone missing.
I have seen reference to part # 5140045-34 (barrel pin 12v 500Ma).
If anyone knows the correct dimensions and polarity of the plug (it is not listed on the battery device - I'd imagine it was properly listed on the missing AC adapter itself) I would love to go find a Universal AC adapter that would fit this also.

Barrel pin 12v 500Ma is correct. the only other required stat that you need to know is that the polarity is( ---------that's how the inside pin polarity is shown on the transformer. Go to any radio Shack, and they have this charger in stock. tell them you need a 120v. a/c input, 12v. DC 500 ma output, with the center (inside) pin positive( ).It should be less than $20.00

Thank you. Unfortunately, I had read through that. It lists a few other specs, but not the AC charger specifications. I'm aware that I could buy a new charger fromhttp://www.dewaltservicenet.com/Products... as well.

I am specifically looking to find the barrel dimensions and polarity in order to locate a third party, multi-use AC adapter though.
If anyone has that info, or a current factory AC adapter that they can read that info from, I'd appreciate it.
this really sounds complicated to someone amateur as me.
