Toshiba Satellite L25-S119 laptop-No image on screen but the fan powers up when the power is turned on. The Power button illuminates then turns off but the fan continues to run.

Yes the hard drive light comes on as well as all of the other lights showing that the computer is powered up. Additionally, I've also tried connecting it to an external monitor....that was actually the first thing I did but there was no image being displayed from the laptop to the external monitor either. :(

My toshiba satellite l25-s119 turns on but the screen is blank?

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow myinstructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

I have the satellite L25-S119 and it will not power on with the battery or the powercord. What can I do?

If you can find someone with a multimeter you can test the power supply... If there is no reading then its dead.
Take the battery out then check if it powers on.

If the above didnt help you may need to take it to a laptop repair place.
Dont worry too much your pictures & documents should be safe 9/10

My laptop won't start... please

Not sure but it sounds like the hard drive is causing the problem. Lap tops are set up so that any problems with them they shut down, and a bad hard drive will shut you down the way you are describing. The only test i know for this is to remove the hard drive and see if you can get the computer to at least boot. If you can with no hard drive then it usually means the drive has failed. Not sure if this will help, but hope it helps.

I changed the hard drive in my toshiba satellite L25 now it will not power on

Did you take out the battery when you changed the hard drive. It still has power in the circuits when the battery is in. You might have fried it. I would try taking out the battery and push the power button a few times (to discharge any power in the board) then make sure the hard drive is inserted properly. Good luck.

My Toshiba Satellite won't turn on at all

If no lights/nothing happens when you press the power button then you probably have a corroded power socket on your motherboard, the positive terminal will not be connecting properly to the motherboard. The laptop needs to be dismantled and have the socket resoldered properly. This can cost quite a bit at most places. I would check the charger first to make sure it is not the problem.

Toshiba Satellite L25-S119 Laptop will not power on

You more than likely have damage to the motherboard. If it's still under warranty they will probably clasifiy this as abuse, and charge you for the repair.

do you hear windows booting ( the startup sound) after a few minutes, if so there may be a monitor hardware problem
