LFX25970 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator This morning it began to make a clicking noise coming from the ice/water dispenser and cold air was coming down from the opening. I pushed the lever for ice and it stopped for awhile. Started again making louder noise. I pulled out the ice bucket and replaced. I turned the ice maker to "off." Had to go to work. I'm going home at lunch to check on it. Help!

Just by cleaning the coils and the keeping it shutdown should not have any effect on the freon in the compressor. It is only used to cool down the coils so that the air blows over them is also made cold. Please keep it running for a while and check if the problem persists. There is a chance that the air is first cooling down the ducts in the refrigerator and then afterwards the whole inner body. That can warm down the air a bit. If the problem persists, this can be a freon issue.

You have a bad main control board . Located behind the refrig , behind an 8 X 10 " panel . Easily replaceable . Sorry , not Seabreeze . You can reach him at seabreeze appliance parts . com , I think .

I assume it was the water dispenser. It has a solenoid on the water inlet valve which can stick. Is the noise coming from the back where the inlet valve is.

We had the same problem. When we removed the ice receptical the mechanism that turned the ice make was broken and it stopped the ice from being dispensed. I hope it is that simple for you!
