I am getting this message and i can't get rid of it, the tray is fully loaded, any comments on how to solve it?
You will be glad to know, this is not your printer's fault. We went round and round with dell support when we first got 150 dell 1600n's. We sent in copies of documents that were causing the problem. Finally, they figured it out for us. Embedded in the document was junk that was telling the printer to pull from tray2. All you have to do to fix the problem, is take the word document, go into file, page setup. on paper tab, select default tray for first page, default tray for all other pages, and apply to whole document. to clear the message, you will have to delete the print job from the queue, and turn off the printer, then turn back on, and you should be set. The message add paper, is really what the printer should be telling you, except that it should add to tray2, so you know it is trying to pull paper from the manual sheetfeed port on the front.(you could add paper there, till the document finishes printing, but our docs are hundreds of pages, so that is not practical. My printer Dell 1600n is full of paper and whenever i try to print from my desktop always fails and the error msg appears to me is ADD papper although it is full of pappers
