I got a thin needle and gently made a hole through the centre of the nozzle - where the water would usually come out. That cleaned the scum build up out of it and it's working fine again. My nozzle does seem to look like its going into the iron but perhaps it's to get the correct angle of spray onto the clothes.

How to refill water

I'm not sure of your question. An iron has a small funnel shaped hole. That is where the water goes. Some irons have a sight glass that tells you how much water is in the iron. Use ditilled water in an iron to prevent build-up of mineral deposits which can clog the iron.

My steam cleaner was working, then when i refilled it, it didnt heat up. its a multipurpose with different attachments. could it be element gone?

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
Clean an iron:
  1. Unplug the iron and make sure it is cool before cleaning.
  2. Use a toothpick or pipe cleaner to remove buildup in the steam vents, making sure the debris doesn't fall into the vents.
  3. Use a fine sewing needle to carefully clean the spray nozzle of mineral deposits.
  4. To flush sediment from a steam iron, pour 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup vinegar into the water tank. Place the iron on a rack over a broiling pan and set the iron to steam until the tank runs dry. Repeat if necessary. Or follow the instructions for using a commercial iron cleaner.
Service the steam and spray mechanism:
  1. Unplug the iron.
  2. Use a fine sewing needle to unclog the steam valve assembly. Also, check the valve spring and replace it if it is broken or has lost tension.
  3. If the spray pump is accessible, remove it and check for leaks by placing the spray tube in water and squirting the pump. Clean or replace as needed.
Clean a metal soleplate:
  1. Unplug the iron.
  2. Use a sponge and commercial soleplate cleaner or baking soda and water to remove dirt buildup on the soleplate. Rinse well with water and dry. Don't use harsh abrasives or immerse an electric iron in water.
  3. Use very fine steel wool (0000) or an emery cloth to remove scratches and burns on the soleplate, then clean the soleplate.

No steam no spray from Iron...pump on tank is working Iron is getting hot

It is most likely a clogged nozzle. You need to use only distilled water in the iron cause the calcium and minerals will clog it.To clean the nozzle, buy some Lime,Calcium and Rust cleaner and soak the nozzle in a small container of it.If it isnt to clogged ,you can even clean it with vinegar.

I have a turbosteam 6060 sunbeam iron. It will not steam, just beeps and cycles off

If I was you I would either go to the Sunbeam site and in the search box enter the model name and number and get a download a manual for fixing the iron or troubleshooting problems. If that don't work Send the Iron back to the company for a new one.

No water released from iron when burst of steam or additional spray of water buttons are pushed

The jets might be clogged with minerals from hard water. Try using some vinegar in it to see if it breaks up the minerals. You might need to let the vinegar sit in the water resovoir of the iron for a little while. Also use vinegar on the jet holes where the watre comes out of the iron.
