This TV has a European RF (antenna) connector called the Belling-Lee type. There's a Wikipedia page about it if you want more information. While this set will tune American TV broadcasting and cable, it was made for the European market. The manual (available here) even refers to this as a "colour" TV. If you're using this TV here in the US, Radio Shack carries an adapter so you can connect a standard F-connector.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using Fixya!

I have @ panasonic plasma display model TH=50PHD7UY serial YH5120189 and my question is how can I connect cable tv in to because does not have the connector on back?

Hello
Your TV has no direct cable connector. You can connect it to cable via converter using SERIAL (D-Sub 9pin [RC 232] type connector wire from converter to your TV. It is designed so. High Density D-Sub 15 pin connector is used to connect this Tv with computer. OK.

What wire do I need to watch a laptop on the tv

first your laptop MUST have some kind of video output connector, look for one of the following... VIDEO (yellow RCA type connector) or S-VIDEO (PS2 type connector) or VGA (15 pin blue female type connector) if you have one of these types than look for the same type on the TV, than it's just a matter of linking them together with the correct cable and selecting the correct input on the TV.

If the TV does not have a suitable connector that matches the one on the laptop, you can bye a converter (there not cheap) but they work from whatever type you have on the laptop to whatever type you have on the TV

Pleas provide more information on the two devices (laptop+TV) so I can tell you exactly what to do

Hope this helps!

There's a piece missing to connect the croaxial cable where do i find it and what's the name of t?

Some of those cable connectors are attached to the tuner assembly, you would find it under that name TV Tuner or Varactor tuner, now the connector itself is sometimes available, but you would need to install it or solder it to the tuner assembly, this connector usually is called an F type connector. Try the partstore.com for the price and availability of the tuner assembly and mcmelectronics.com for the f type connector.

Cable in connection

Hi,

Most TV models/cable providers uses the F type of coaxial connector as shown below. 7c21c7e.jpg
However, some versions intended for other regions (Europe & Middle East) uses the PAL type of connector likewise shown below.
be2f30d.jpg
If your model uses the latter and your cable provider uses the F type, what you need is a straight F type Female to PAL Male adapter. Or it could even be just the other way around.

They are available in most electronic parts/supply store or online. You can try here, here or here.

Hope that this be of idea/help. Pls post back how things turned up, r should you need additional information and/or if your cable connectors are of different types. A photo of the connectors would be nice.

Good luck and kind regards.
