For front loaders, they usually have the level underneath the door, they use small amounts of water, but they spin so all the clothes do get
soaked with water.

Not sure if normal or something wrong but i put it on large load and it only fills about a third of the way if that is this normal

top loader --- there is a small plastic hose that runs from the bottom of the tub up to the level control switch at the panel
the filling water pushes air up that tube until the trapped air pressurizes enough to overcome the water level setting and switches that switch
if it already has water in ti it will activate the switch too early
pull the switch off one end and blow the water back out
re attach and set the level and turn on the water

Washer is displaying no error code however the cycle stopped in the middle. I tried to rerun the load. The dorr locked but it will only buzz. Now the door will not unlock and nothing will male it run. I...

You may have a water valve issue. (leaking water past valve, allowing water to fill to higher than normal level) To unlock, try opening the access door at the bottom left on front of machine and using small hose there, drain water out of machine. If hose is plugged, you may have to unscrew big knob (with filter attached) to drain. When the water level lowers, door should unlock. (if washer is plugged in)

Was wondering if the washer is supposed to fill to certain level at wash cycle?

Yes. On top loading machines, it is very easy to see. On front loading machines, not so easy to tell. Front load machines fill to a very low level, (which is why you should only use 1 to 2 tablespoons of HE soap with them) then when they begin to tumble (wash motion) the clothes absorb water, causing the water level to drop, resulting in the fill of additional water until the original water level is acheived again. This process generally takes several times to get all the clothes saturated and the water level to stabilize. Additionally, water valves may cycle on and off several times as the machine adjusts the water temperature, even if you were running an empty washer through a cycle. Gentle cycles will use more water, as more water = less abrasive scrubbing action. Normally, using front loading machines, you will not see much if any water through the door window.

The water level is very low. what should i do?

Turn clockwise the water level switch under the top lid slightly. The machine will fill alittle higher than stopping at the edge of the cylinder gray baffels.I have mine set to fill up with water to the bottom of the door seal edge.I wouldn't go any higher than that. You should do this adjustment with the cylinder empty so you can easily see exactly where the water level is. The machine works so much better now.

Item: Whirlpool Ultra Dishwasher Age: 3 yrs Problem: Not enough water to effectively wash the dishes. State: When the dishwasher is started, the fill valve opens as normal. Only about 1/2 the amount of...

Larry,
The float is generally for overflow conditions and will interrupt power to the fill valve solenoid.
If you are not filling completely in the time allowed by the timer, it is most likely a flow restriction in the water supply. Barring other obvious restrictions, the fill valve has filter screens on the inlet side of the fill valve, which is generally the cause of your symptoms. Be careful if you attempt to clean the screens, as the fill valves are very sensitive to debris, and can become stuck open if sediment gets past the screen. I usually replace the fill valve to avoid future problems.
Hope this helps.

E4 error after attempting to fill and get to temp

This is what I found for the E4 code...hope this helps...and thanks for rating my effort...The Fang.

Machine won't fill or won't fill high enough(LX18, LX30 display shows "E0," "E2," "E3," or "E4")

1.Low water pressure — check for clogged hose strainer; check that site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures.
2.Make sure probes are clean.
3.No water pressure — main water supply valves may not be working.
4.Drain valve open - turn machine off to drain machine, then on. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the
OFF-ON procedure.
5. Delime machine.

Not enough water

run the machine empty. if the water comes to the bottom of the glass window, you're fine. No you don't need to see the soap suds either, too musch soap will cause the machine not to function properly and won't spin out all the water

Water Pressure Woes

It's not a solution, but the water on our washer here 'trickles down', too...I guess that is normal...But if you have the same brand, you should know those three gray...things...with the black balls in them? They have holes, forming a wavelike pattern...I don't know if that's supposed to Spray, or Drain....Mehh....I stink at solutions...The water level...hmm...just like..a little bit touching the end? :)
